Uma Thurman has revealed that she is keen to begin training for the upcoming third Kill Bill instalment. Filmmaker Quentin Tarantino recently confirmed that the follow-up will be out in cinemas in 2014. The actress, who starred as martial-arts trained The Bride in the first two films of the franchise, equated her previous regimen to "basic training in Vietnam". However, she admitted that she has grown lazy since the last movie completed filming in 2004. She told Empire: "They train you so hard that when you come to shooting, it's actually quite comfortable. Uma Thurman can't wait to begin work on the next Kill Bill movie - because the intense samurai training she endures for the films push her into the best shape of her life.
The actress spent months mastering her martial arts skills with professional stuntmasters to play The Bride, a killer assassin, in the first two instalments of Quentin Tarantino's action franchise.
And she's ready to kick off the gruelling sessions for a third time - after reverting back to her lazy ways since filming wrapped.
She tells Britain's Empire magazine, "They train you so hard that when you come to shooting, it's actually quite comfortable. It's not the same as real kung-fu, and I could not defend myself now if someone picked a fight! It was a transforming experience; I was part of a fight team for almost nine months, and that changed my life. They taught me to work harder than I had ever done before, physically, and it's an incredible thing to discover that your breaking point is actually much higher than you think. It's a great gift.
"It did change my life back then. Not that I'm changed still; I'm back to being the bum that I was! But I do miss it, and hopefully I'll get back on the stick one day. I'd never pushed myself to those extremes before. It was like surviving a kind of war; it felt like basic training in Vietnam. It was an emotional and physical thing - the envelope of the work sprawled and grew and changed, almost out of control." »

Whatever was old is apparently new again as Disney will reunite the cast of Three Men and a Baby for Three Men and a Bride.
“Disney’s developing Three Men and a Bride,” said original star Steve Guttenberg. “That’s going to be a smash. A smash hit. They’re bringing everybody back for that. Nobody knows about it. I’m the first to talk about it.”
1987’s Three Men and a Baby starred Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg as bachelor friends forced to raise a baby together after she is left on their doorstep by a desperate mother. The trio reunited three years later for Three Men and a Little Lady.
For Guttenberg, he hopes that studio interest in ’80s films don’t end at Three Men.
“It’s definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon,” says the 51-year-old. “They »

Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Sean Bean, Pierce Brosnan, Steve Coogan, Catherine Keener, Uma Thurman, Rosario Dawson, Kevin McKidd and Joe Pantoliano. It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. There are nice touches of what makes New York uniquely New York in this should-be-charminger little film, and they’re things that rarely get acknowledged onscreen. The awkward realities of living in a walkup apartment... six flights up. The daily dance of “alternate-side parking.” The true small-town, neighborhoody feel of the city. It’s too bad that writer-director Katherine Dieckmann couldn’t imbue her portrait of the titular state in this place with as much easy, authentic panache. It’s a day in the life for Uma Thurman’s (The Producers) crazy-busy stay-at-home mom on the especially busy day when she’s getting ready for her daughter’s sixth birthday party, and it’s all juggling the million things a mom needs to do for her family while also trying to grab a few minutes for herself. »

Below we have trailer, posters and photos for the upcoming epic, “Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightening Thief.”
Synopsis: It’s the 21st century, but the gods of Mount Olympus and assorted monsters have walked out of the pages of high school student Percy Jackson’s Greek mythology texts and into his life. And they’re not happy: Zeus’ lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Even more troubling is the sudden disappearance of Percy’s mother. As Percy adapts to his newly discovered status as a demi-god (his father is Poseidon), he finds himself caught between the battling titans of Mt. Olympus. He and his friends embark on a cross-country adventure to catch the true lightning thief, save Percy’s mom, and unravel a mystery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Denis Leary is good, but I wouldn’t have thought that Sci-Fi was his kind of thing. Maybe he just loves a good idea. The awesome world of a genetic caste society described in the awesome “Gattaca” starring Ethan Hawke, Jude Law and Uma Thurman is on the way to T.V. Mr. Leary’s Apostle Films has bought the rights and we’ll probably see it sometime soon after Denis’s run ends on Rescue Me in 2011. In “Gattaca”, you only get as far in life as your genetic strength foretells. That is, unless you’re smart enough to cheat. “Gattaca” is great stuff. Go rent it. Thanks Slashfilm. »

Recycled Film Experience! I wrote some of this in advance -- years in advance in fact -- to free up time to enjoy this costume crazed holiday. I originally published this list in 2005, but I've tweaked it some. Plus, not all of you were around in 2005. Herewith, the top 12 movies that remind me of Halloween. It's a top ten list and it's not even Tuesday. I'm so generous.
12 The Batman franchise (1989-2008)
In 1997 I went out Halloween clubbing as the Uma version of Poison Ivy. Whenever you dress up as a movie character the year the movie comes out, you'll have competition. There was another Poison Ivy there but I buried her, I promise. I had the horns and all the details, see. It was the longest I ever spent getting ready for Halloween (which is saying something): glue guns, orange wigs, fake foliage, you name it. I don't try as hard anymore. »

Oscar-winning actor Anthony Hopkins has reportedly joined the cast of Marvel Studio’s upcoming feature Thor.
Hopkins will play the Norse god Odin, Thor’s pappy and reigning king of Asgard.
Thor’s cast is looking pretty good with Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddelston and Natalie Portman already on board. The film will be directed by Kenneth Branagh and production is slated to begin this January.
The film opens everywhere on May 20, 2011.
Hopkins can be seen with Benicio Del Toro in The Wolfman in February. He also will appear in Woody Allen’s You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger.

Being corrected in public for committing a parenting no-no is the moment every parent dreads, including Uma Thurman. “Oh tons,” she tells BabyCenter of the number of times she’s been the guilty party.”It’s horrible.”
At the same time, the 39-year-old actress admits she’s occasionally been the one doling out the guilt. “I saw this father lifting his kid up by the arm the other day and I thought…’I know that’s why I have lifelong shoulder problems,’” Uma recalls. “Somebody thought it was fun and I probably was laughing, meanwhile for the »

Everyone knows that Hollywood is addicted to franchises, sequels, reboots and all manner of cinematic rehashings of the pop-culture past. Over 75 percent of the 30 highest-grossing films of the last three years were based on an existing entertainment franchise, which just goes to show there's a reason studios keep reimagining movie history instead of creating something new: audiences love them too.
But do actors? With Halloween almost upon us, we wanted to know if the folks out in La-La Land secretly had a horror flick they're dying to remake.
Tom Hanks' fave picks — "Night of the Living Dead" and " Nosferatu" — have already been refashioned in one form or another, so the Oscar-winner »

Uma Thurman can't wait to turn 40 next year because her 30s have been a period of stress and trauma.
In the past decade, the actress has endured a messy split from ex-husband Ethan Hawke and a high profile court case after she harassed by a fan on the set of a movie.
And she insists she's looking forward to shaking off her 30s and embracing a new period in her life when she reaches the landmark age in April 2010.
Thurman tells People magazine, "I could not be more excited, because this was not my decade. I'm excited to start a new one." »

In a new interview with Parade, actress Uma Thurman reveals that making The Avengers — a film she says “really wasn’t good while it was going on” — sparked her desire to become a mom.
“I came home from making that movie and I started rethinking my life,” Uma, 39, explains. “I said to myself, ‘I’m going to have a baby,’ because I felt like I’d gotten to a spot where I wasn’t sure what I was acting for.” She asks,
“Was I running from myself going from location to location? Was I hurting myself? I »

Marilyn Kentz: I have four kids, so I figured I knew a little about the lifestyle portrayed in the latest Uma Thurman movie, "Motherhood." In it, she plays Eliza, a stressed out mom with two cute kids and a clueless husband.
In what I perceived to be the longest-ass day in history, Eliza takes care of dog maintenance, endures car harassment, takes her youngest to The Park of Irritating Moms, shops in a version of Loehmann's, rides her bike, blogs, enters a writing contest, gets critiqued and then does a rewrite, shops in a party store, argues with just about every belligerent New Yorker she comes in contact with, charms the few nice ones, decorates her apartment in pink streamers and balloons, redecorates a cake, dances with a messenger, runs away, and throws a birthday party for her six-year-old.
My mommy instincts were assaulted because Eliza seems to have none. »

With nearly 40 feature films on her resume, actress Uma Thurman is at a point in her career where she can pick and choose her movie projects. In a recent interview with Parade, Thurman said that choosing roles is a very different process for her now that she is a mother.
You feel much more conflicted. I think I really struggled with that conflict. Sort of like, "What's worthy enough to interrupt my kid's life to take them on the road with me while I do a movie?" Now, I just try to balance it. I probably overthink things, but I try to do the right thing. I just do my best. Any working mother will tell you it's the same. I think every working mom is kind of a superhero. I think we all are.
Thurman also confirmed that she has been in talks with Quentin Tarantino about reprising the »

Editor's note: This week we're welcoming Mike Wong on board to write our weekly movie column.
Another week, another set of movies. Hard to believe it’s already nearly November when the Oscar-bait starts being dangled, and unless you didn’t see any movies last week, I’m sorry to say it’s a good week to stay home or do something not movie related.
The first of the wide releases this week is Amelia starring the swanky Hilary Swank in a movie that almost no one was waiting for. This biopic about Amelia Earhart, the first female pilot to cross the Atlantic, seems to have flown out of the Hollywood machine with every cliché and formulaic fixture intact. Currently scoring a 22% on Rottentomatoes.com, I’ll wager that it’ll probably experience some serious turbulence in the box office.

There may be an absence of news on a third Batman movie but there's no shortage of casting suggestions and fan debate over who and what should be in it.
Whether any of it comes true is another matter, but it's interesting - and fun - to speculate and make those wishlists for the possible next instalment.
I recently reported that Marion Cotillard was a top choice to play Catwoman in the superhero fan community.
Among other villains' names being thrown around is Poison Ivy, previously portrayed by Uma Thurman (pictured right) in 1997's Batman & Robin.
It seems fairly unlikely that director Nolan would use the character in his third Batman movie but, nevertheless, fans are pondering possible actresses to play the part.
While Eva Green leads one forum poll, followed by Scarlett Johansson, another name put forward is Rachel Nichols.

Minnie Driver has said that she will never film another movie role while heavily pregnant. The actress stars as parent-to-be Sheila in Motherhood alongside Uma Thurman and Anthony Edwards. Driver told Parade: "They needed an actress to play pregnant, but I offered them the real thing. I was so pregnant in this film that I was in a kind of different world. "You shouldn't really be on a film set when you're that pregnant, you need to be at home with your feet up. I wouldn't do it again." She added: "They took care of me. They were (more) »
