I guess HBO has no problem following the advice, "Do like the Romans do." Well, sort of.
The network is still contemplating a feature film based on their series Rome, but it looks like Entourage could become a movie as well.
Entourage the Movie
While at the premiere of The Lovely Bones, Mark Wahlberg admitted that he can't imagine too many more season for Entourage, though he does expect a big finish. So big in fact that he's not just talking a series finale, but a feature film. If the show follows Wahlberg's prediction -- and HBO's hopes -- the series will have two more seasons and then wrap things up with a feature film. Sound crazy? Not really. »

"Entourage" could eventually make its way to the big screen -- but not before at least a couple more seasons on television.
So says executive producer Mark Wahlberg. At the premiere for "The Lovely Bones" Thursday night, he told The Hollywood Reporter that he thinks the show -- which is coming off a ratings resurgence last summer -- has two more seasons left in it. "We'll see. There could be more," he said. "But then, a movie."
An HBO rep says an "Entourage" film "is not out of the realm of possibility. Right now, the creators are concentrating on the new season."
- "America's Got Talent" finished its fourth season only 2 1/2 months ago, but it's already gearing up for next season.
The show has already held auditions in New York, Philadelphia and Chicago and has just announced four new sites. The show will see prospective acts in Los Angeles, Dallas, »

Adrian Grenier has been in the spotlight quite a bit for playing fictional actor Vincent Chase on the HBO series "Entourage," chronicling the life of an actor and his friends and they deal with the ups and downs of the entertainment industry. And while Grenier is no stranger to the big screen, Vincent Chase's exploits have been limited to fictional projects with directors like James Cameron and Martin Scorsese. That may change sooner than later as THR reports that an Entourage movie might be in the cards with producer Mark Wahlberg saying there's probably a good two seasons left for the series to be followed by a feature film. With regards to the time left for "Entourage" on television, Wahlberg non-chalantly says: "We'll see; there could be more. But then a movie." Sounds like a pretty solid plan. But of course the spokesperson from HBO doesn't make it sounds as »

According to executive producer Mark Wahlberg, HBO series Entourage - which focuses on the trials and tribulations of a Hollywood actor and his team of cronies - could move into cinemas when it finishes its run on TV. Talking at the premiere for his new film The Lovely Bones, Wahlberg let slip that there are two more seasons left in the series "and then, a movie". Entourage stars Adrian Grenier as actor Vincent Chase, whose struggles to remain a big name in an industry that only loves you as long as you make big...

At the New York premiere of Peter Jackson's "The Lovely Bones", actor Mark Wahlberg told Showbiz 411 that there are two seasons left of HBO's hit series "Entourage". He said there could be more, but then there will be a movie. Looks like the executive producer plans on taking the same route as "Sex in the City" which also started out as a popular original series on HBO and has now become a world-wide box office success after a motion picture was released a few years back. Currently, there's a sequel in the works. Meanwhile, Wahlberg is shooting the comedy "The Other Guys" with comedian Will Ferrell. “I don’t really get to do comedy,” Mark said. “We waited for just the right thing. It’s a buddy movie.”

This might have been a good idea, say, around season 2. But if you.ve watched Entourage lately then you.re well aware that the show is getting very long in the tooth. Whatever real significance it had is long gone. All that.s left is to tune every week and watch Ari swear while you wait for the newest naked model or random celebrity cameo. I.m not saying I.ve stopped watching, I.m just honest about why I still bother. But past its prime or not, THR says an Entourage movie could be in the works. Series executive producer Mark Wahlberg says he thinks the show has two more seasons left in it and .then, a movie.. This isn.t just some Marky Mark pipe dream either. HBO confirmed that it.s a possibility. Presumably it all depends on whether the show hangs on to its audience as »

Right on the heels of one of its most successful seasons, Entourage has been picked up for another year, but executive producer Mark Wahlberg is looking further ahead. At the premiere for The Lovely Bones, Wahlberg told The Hollywood Reporter he feels the series has two more seasons left in it, and then, perhaps, a movie. A spokesperson from HBO revealed that though an Entourage film is not “out of the realm of possibility,” the staff has their sights set on the new season and not much beyond that. But with the success of the Sex and the City movie with its sequel already due out in Summer 2010, an Entourage movie seems very much in the “realm of possibility.”
Ultimately, as much of an Entourage fan I am (it’s really useful for learning about the business!), it’s hard enough watching half-hour episodes during which nothing really happens; I »

Despite having what seems to be a growing number of haters, HBO's "Entourage" is still going strong. When it graduates from the small screen, will it follow Sex And The City into theaters? It will if A-lister/exec producer Mark Wahlberg has his way. The Boston boy says the show (loosely based on his own Hollywood adventures) will run another two seasons and then: "We’ll see, there could be more. But then, a movie." The show recently ended its sixth season, and... »

This is going to be a great month. No matter whether these big and small movies fall flat on their faces or not there’s going to be plenty to choose from – especially for those who want to keep up with important films.
First up is Avatar, one of the biggest gambles of this decade. Will the same kind of crowd that saw The Dark Knight or Transformers multiple times venture to movie theatres to see a 150-minute-long 3-D film that features tall blue creatures? It’s up in the air.
Which reminds me of a few more titles that should be worth checking out, one of them being Jason Reitman’s new film with George Clooney. The drama-comedy about a man who fires people for a living has been getting great buzz from its successful festival runs, with Oscar talk flying around as smoothly as paper airplanes.

Overrated films are an interesting breed. They are essentially the type that everybody goes crazy for until consideration, time, thought and retrospect force us to reassess the situation. They are, by and large, the product of Hollywood: though by no means exclusive. However, Hollywood films are the most hyped; the most seen; the most heard. They are garnered with awards and flattery and the cycle begins again. Is it genius of deception or commerce?
Orson Welles’ Citizen Kane is often labelled as “the greatest film ever made”. It will not appear in this list. It is not an overrated film. Even now, in the sixty-plus years since its release, Welles’ masterpiece remains inimitable. Searching for something to dislike in it is pointless. Yes, critics go ga-ga for Orson, and so they should. He was a true maverick.

In the movie, which is based on Alice Sebold’s 2002 novel of the same name, Ronan, 15, plays Susie Salmon, who is murdered in 1974 and watches from heaven as her family tries to track down her killer. Sarandon plays Susie’s booze-bag grandma who helps the Salmon family cope with the tragedy. “It’s great as a young actress to get to be in the company of such great actors who have been around for a very long time and who are extremely comfortable on set,” Ronan said of her Oscar-winning co-stars Sarandon and Rachel Weisz, »

Stanley Tucci and Saoirse Ronan in The Lovely Bones
Photo: DreamWorks Studios Paramount and DreamWorks Studios have just revealed 23 new images from The Lovely Bones, which hits limited theaters on December 11 and expands throughout the month and I know this is my third image post of the day, but that one above just struck me as quite impressive for those of us that have read the book (or perhaps a few Sergio Leone fans out there in what is a wild alternative to the traditional standoff). I just wish it was in widescreen and not cropped, as I imagine there is a bit of additional room to the left and right of the two characters in the actual shot in the film.

Mark Wahlberg and Rhea Durham hit the shops with the family this past week, walking around the Beverly Center with children Brendan Joseph, 14 months, Michael, 3 ½, and Ella Rae, 6.
The family will grow by one when Rhea, a model, gives birth to baby girl this winter — she’s reportedly due this month!
“I’m having another girl,” Mark said in October. “So I’ll have two girls and two boys. My wife is allowed to pick the magic number … as many as she wants to have.”
