Now that Woody Harrelson ("The Messenger") has been pushed up to the lead race from supporting at the Globes, that changes the category scenario a bit. Co-star Ben Foster remains a contender, but Woody upstages him here just like he does in the film. Best Drama Actor Front-runners Jeff Bridges, "Crazy Heart" George Clooney, "Up in the Air" Colin Firth, "A Single Man" Morgan Freeman, "Invictus" Woody Harrelson, "The Messenger" Viggo Mortensen, "The Road" Michael Sheen, "The Damned United" Spotlight: Everybody's talking about how overdue Jeff Bridges is for an Oscar (four defeats), but he's also Globe-less (skunked three times). Bridges must beat beloved George Clooney, who won for "Syriana" at the Globes first, then... »

While "New Moon" has certainly accrued fan approval and box office power since its release on November 20, critics haven't had the same appreciation for the vampire romance. "Eclipse," the next in the series, wrapped in October and is slated for a June 30, 2010 release, we have a few suggestions to help make it a film everyone -- not just Twilighters -- will enjoy.
Amp up the Bella and Edward romance
"Twilight" established the potent romance between Bella and Edward, but "New Moon" sacrificed much of the chemistry for the sake of Bella's growing bond with Jacob. Granted, the reason why Edward was mostly absent during "New Moon" was because he broke up with Bella and was moping around in an apartment for months on end, but Chris Weitz forgot to reestablish why exactly Bella and Edward were so in love. With "Eclipse," we hope David Slade explores their connection, especially with »

The very funny Craig Ferguson had Michael Sheen as a guest on his show last night. Craig started off the segment talking about the gigantic success New Moon has been at the box office while making quite a bit of fun at his own show. He then proceeded to show a tiny clip of Felix smashing Edward in Volterra before he launched into an Arolike voice and introduced Michael Sheen. When Michael came on they joked around about Aros hair Michaels wish for an action figure and previous roles that Michael has played. Thanks Boo!This was such a funny interview with Michael! Between the two of them Im not sure who was funnier but they were so good together. I love Craigs impression of Michaels Aro voice.Did you like this interview with Michael? »

The remake/reboot/prequel game is now in full swing around Hollywood, but Disney has shown some promise in this area with the likes of the upcoming Tron Legacy, which made a huge (and somewhat unexpected) splash this past summer at Comic Con. If you haven’t seen the Tron Legacy trailer, then you probably don’t yet know why polishing up an old property can sometimes be a good thing.
Well, Disney is now dusting off another old property and giving it a modern polish -- this time it’s the 1970s “groundbreaking” sci-fi adventure, The Black Hole, which is being put in the hands of the Tron Legacy team and the scribe of the upcoming Clash of The Titans remake.
The actual names behind this project are Tron Legacy director Joseph Kosinski, producer Sean Bailey and Clash of The Titans writer Travis Beacham. If you’re like me, »

The legendary Helen Mirren may once again be serving crown and country as Queen Elizabeth II. WENN is reporting that Mirren is being called upon to play the once and current queen in Mother: The Indira Ghandi Story, a biopic about the Indian prime minister who was asassinated in 1984.
Tom Hanks and Tommy Lee Jones are also reportedly in talks to play Lyndon B. Johnson and Richard Nixon, respectively, while Emily Watson is attached to play the formidable Margaret Thatcher. Director Krishna Shah calls it "the project of my life" so one hopes this could actually come together for him with this kind of cast. The film is scheduled to be released in 2010, which seems a bit too optimistic with so many schedules to coordinate, but we'll see.
Obviously, this should be filed firmly under "rumor," but it's an intriguing prospect. Indira Ghandi is certainly long overdue for a biopic, »

The Satellites (formerly Golden) have announced their 2009 nominations for what it's worth. And you might be screaming "not very much".
It's hard to know what to make of this Golden Globe splinter group. There is never much of a narrative thread in their nominations. You can't sense from year to year a type of film they like or whatnot. Which makes them feel a bit suspect. They also do very strange things which you're about to see if you read their nominations. They never get much attention and yet they keep plugging away. This year they were especially kind to 2012 (who knew?), Nine and The Stoning of Soraya M. But they were downright rude to the sci-fi drama Moon which received zero nominations despite their lack of aversion to sci-fi films. I mention this because the moon is a natural satellite and the Satellites are artificial. Maybe they're jealous. What they're orbiting we know not. »

The cast of The Twilight Saga: New Moon has absolutely taken over the IMDb STARmeter. At the top is Taylor Lautner, followed by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson (former reigning champions of the weekly number one spot on many occasions). Also on the list are Dakota Fanning, Ashley Greene, and Nikki Reed (notice a trend, ladies? Yes, that's the sound of new "Twi-Guys" taking note of the female lookers on the New Moon castlist) as well as Jackson Rathbone. The New Moon cast proliferation, though, stops not at the top ten. Within the top fifty, there's also a wealth of Twilight star names, including Kellan Lutz, Jamie Campbell-Bower, Anna Kendrick, Michael Sheen, Peter Facinelli, Billy Burke, and Cam Gigandet. Also of interest is the fact that IMDb's "Most Popular Under 25" list is topped by Ashley Greene, Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed ... »

British comics have not been well served in their Hollywood adaptations. Transatlantic transitions from page to screen result in either being too faithful, as Zack Synder’s Watchmen arguably was, or too loose with the essence of the source material, resulting in a genre bound snooze fest – Judge Dredd please stand up (and don’t remove your helmet!).
While the golden age of American comics have lit up the screen in this last decade, with visionary directors taking the basic elements of these iconic characters to their own conclusions, British comics have not garnered such attention. Nolan’s Batman, Raimi’s Spiderman and the Supermen of Donner and Singer have their own unique identity; the depth of the mythology of these superheroes allows numerous interpretations, and some of the most interesting re-imaginings of our own myths and legends have occurred on the screen as well as on the page.

EW.coms Pop Watch has a quick interview with Michael Sheen where he looks at his experience on New Moon. Read more belowAshley spoke very highly of her time working with you.Shes lovely. They all were very nice but they kind of treated me like an elderly uncle. They were all on their best behavior when they are around me. I just want to be down with the kids but that doesnt really work out to well. You have great command of the scene with the Volturi and you can tell that those other actors had great respect for you.It helps coming into something where they all know each other and have already done one movie together. Theyve also been involved in the whole phenomenon together so I think theyve bonded a lot. So when youre coming in to do a big scene like the one we did »

Michael Sheen is best known for his roles as Tony Blair in The Queen and David Frost in Frost/Nixon. So it was a bit of a surprise that this serious actor, with a great ability to transform completely into real-life characters, would want a role in the frothy Twilight series. EW.com chatted with Sheen about his New Moon experience. What made you want to sign on to this project? I knew about the whole Twilight thing, primarily through my daughter, who’s 11 and is a big fan of the books. She’s read the books many, many times. »

Nothing like a role in Twilight to break you into show business. That's the case for Ashley Greene, who had spent most of her time in Hollywood as a hostess in an L.A. restaurant prior to her fame-making role as Alice Cullen.
