Jennifer Tilly and Gina Gershon in Bound, Neve Campbell and Denise Richards in Wild Things, and Megan Fox and Amanda Seyfried in Jennifer's Body. What do they all have in common? Named are some of the hottest female-on-female kiss scenes in the history of cinema. Why are we getting you all worked up? Rumor has it that Darren Aronofsky's forthcoming Black Swan will take us to new heights with a sex scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis. "Surely, she understands why the rumor has fans in a tizzy," "Kunis' black nail-polished fingers hit the table in a cascade of taps." "Sure," she says, with a roll of her eyes. "It's two girls making out, and guys have a thing for that. And Nat is like every guy's dream. She's a nerd's idea of heaven. The whole thing is silly, but I can see why people care." »

My love for Big Love was destiny.
Perhaps because of my fundie background, I am fascinated with the various brands of religion, especially those on the “fringe” — which is where the folks in Big Love live. Of course, that’s why many people, especially women, object to the series, saying that it glamorizes plural marriage and the subjugation of women. But I don’t see anything glamorous about that part of the series setting. If anything, Big Love shows just how twisted an absolute patriarchy can be.
Big Love’s last season was, Imo, the best yet. We’re seeing Karma (a decidedly non-Mormon concept) in full force, with Bill’s tendency to justify every careless action as “God’s will” coming back to bite him in his too-often-bare butt. And this season promises more conflict as Bill decides to run for state senator, intending to out his family and »

Lights. Cameras. Birthday Action (for this, the 30th of November). Only one month left to go and it's 2010. How crazy is that?
Ridley, Terrence (in the 70s) and Marc
1835 Mark Twain's books have been adapted into movies ever since the movies began. Most notably The Prince and the Pauper and any tale of Huck Finn or Tom Sawyer
1920 Virginia Mayo 40s and 50s star, frequent Danny Kaye foil
1926 Richard Crenna, character actor
1927 Robert Guillaume, "Benson"
1929 Dick Clark, seemingly immortal creature who may finally be destroyed by the rise of his spiritual offspring Ryan Seacrest. It's all very Cronos vs. Zeus, only without the thunderbolts
1937 Ridley Scott, manly director whose movies are usually way better when they're shot through with a strong female presence. Consider the three classics: Blade Runner, Thelma & Louise, Alien. The rest of the filmography surely has its moments but that's the trinity right there.

I would have bet the farm on the film finding a distributor fairly soon after the fest and was thinking Spc was going to grab the title for a certain art-house theater segment of the population. - While I was amused by Atom Egoyan's purposely cheeky Chloe, critics at the Toronto Int. Film Festival beat this film to a pulp. I would have bet the farm on the film finding a distributor fairly soon after the fest and was thinking Spc was going to grab the title for a certain art-house theater segment of the population. I would have been sort of right as, Variety reports that Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group has picked up U.S. rights. So this is either going to Spc or might actually be tossed over to Apparition. Scripted by Erin Cressida Wilson and based on Anne Fontaine’s 2003 film Nathalie, »

Just plain silly from the get-go, Atom Egoyan's Chloe might be my guilty pleasure of this festival/year with its Fatal Attraction-esque nature and the film's foot soldiers Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried losing their clothes in a lust fest - Just plain silly from the get-go, Atom Egoyan's Chloe might be my guilty pleasure of this festival/year with its Fatal Attraction-esque nature and the film's foot soldiers Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried losing their clothes in an unclad lust fest, I'm finding myself in the minority with this one, having actually liked the film how Moore plays serious and distraught in dramatic parody, and how Seyfried sorta of plays the alter ego of what she didn't play in Jennifer's Body. A welcome departure from recent politically-motivated offerings and one notch above his last romp - Where the Truth Lies, this spicy Red Shoe diary number will »

Although Channing Tatum's highly-anticipated romantic drama 'Dear John' will have a traditional premiere in Los Angeles prior to it's February 5th release next year, Sony has graciously allowed Charleston-based Carolina Autism to hold a special premiere benefiting the organization, and the cool part is that fans will be able to attend.
Carolina Autism is a charitable agency that treats children with autism for free, and they also worked on the set of 'Dear John'. Because of the current economic conditions and the high unemployment rate in South Carolina, many families are unable to get treatment for their children with autism. The makers of 'Dear John' generously offered to have this premiere in Charleston for the benefit of those children through Carolina Autism's "Push for Kids" program.
All the money raised during the charity event will go to help children from around the state of South Carolina like Braeden (a »

British star Dominic Cooper is desperate to star in a Mamma Mia! sequel - but he fears movie bosses will leave him out if a new movie is made.
The actor has heard rumours a follow-up to the successful 2008 movie musical is in the works, but he has not yet been approached to reprise his role.
He says, "I'm quite worried because a lot of people are talking and hearing about this number two but I haven't heard anything yet. It is giving me the impression that perhaps I am not included in this one. I'm hearing whispers it may be a prequel so I'm thinking, if it is that is not good for me."
Cooper has very fond memories of making Mamma Mia! because he met girlfriend Amanda Seyfried on the set, playing her love interest.
The Abba-themed film, which stars Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth, scored huge box office success with global takings of $573 million (£385 million). »

Chicago – It’s the most wonderful time of the year for Blu-Ray and DVD collectors. Every holiday season, studios pull out their most beloved films, polish up the picture, maybe add a special feature or two, and usually throw in a few collectibles for a gift set. Recent gift set releases include limited edition boxes for “Gone With the Wind,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and “Christmas Vacation”. The gleefully campy “Mamma Mia! The Movie” seems like a perfect fit and “The Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! More Gift Set” should make fans of the movie happy but is clearly the lowest rung on the ladder when it comes to these season releases.
Blu-Ray Rating: 2.5/5.0
Before we even get to the movie, what qualifies as a gift set? With recent releases including such unusual items as a watch (“Wizard of Oz”) and fake snow (“Christmas Vacation”), don’t you think a film as weird as “Mamma Mia! »

The following trailer for Greenberg, a new comedy starring Ben Stiller and directed by Noah Baumbach, debuted on Apple just yesterday, but I'm not getting around to writing about it until today. It's making quite the impression around the Internet as it tells the story of Roger Greenberg (Stiller), a man at a crossroads in his life who ends up housesitting at his brother's home in Los Angeles. There, he strikes up an unlikely friendship with his brother's assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), an aspiring singer. Florence and Greenberg's encounters lead to an uncertain and wonderfully vulnerable courtship.
Check out the trailer directly below or at Apple in high definition. Focus will release Greenberg on March 12, 2010.
Next is a trailer for a film I added to the database only a few minutes ago, Letters to Juliet, a new romance from Summit starring Amanda Seyfried as a young American who travels »

Listen up hi-def humbugs and Blu-ray Scrooges! This is the year you'll not just want, but need, to buy a new hi-def plasma screen and a shiny black Blu-ray player for Christmas (and/or whatever other holiday you choose to celebrate with lavish gifts). Why? Because this technology has reached its performance plateau. And it is finally at a reasonable price most of us can afford. Not only that, it serves as the one prefect gift the entire family can enjoy together. With more Blu-ray titles being released right now than ever before, there simply couldn't be a better time to dive head first into this leading technological platform.
But wait! There's one thing you don't want to overlook after all that exciting new equipment has been unwrapped. Without a stack of Blu-ray discs strategically placed in each family member's stocking with care, your gorgeous new HD flat screen becomes a delectable serving tray, »

We have the trailer as well as images in from Summit Entertainment's "Letters to Juliet" romance starring Gary Winick ("Bride Wars," "Charlotte's Web") directs from the screenplay written by Jose Rivera and Tim Sullivan. Pic sees theatres on May 7th next year and is produced by Caroline Kaplan, Ellen Barkin and Mark Canton. When a young American (Amanda Seyfried) travels to the city of Verona, home of the star-crossed lover Juliet Capulet of Romeo and Juliet fame, she joins a group of volunteers who respond to letters to Juliet seeking advice about love. After answering one letter dated from 1957, she inspires its author (Vanessa Redgrave) to travel to Italy in search of her long-lost love, which sets off a chain of events that will bring a love into both their lives unlike anything they have ever imagined... »

There are so many questions you ought to ask yourself as you watch the Letters to Juliet trailer, which debuted today at Moviefone and you can watch embedded below. First of all: what are Amanda Seyfried and Gael Garcia Bernal doing engaged to each other? She is 24 and looks 18, and he is 30 and looks 30. Second, if she's lucky enough to be engaged to Gael Garcia Bernal, why is she running around Italy without him on a hunt for some other woman's long-lost love? And third, why on earth does this trailer show us the entire plot, to the point that I can predict the exact moment that Seyfried falls in love with some other dude? Letters to Juliet probably wasn't ever going to be more than a generic romantic comedy, but this trailer tells you precisely the kind of generic romantic comedy it will be. A young woman (Seyfried) thinks »

Ugh, I hate myself for this being true, but: I will totally go see Letters to Juliet. Romance Travel! Amanda Seyfried! I've seen Mamma Mia! more than once, so I guess it's the natural evolution of my own shame spiral. I'm really curious what could possibly be in the movie that wasn't revealed in this trailer, so I'm counting on you, PopWatchers, to come up with potential plot twists. Dazzle me! [via NY Mag] »

For a moment I was actually wondering where Megan Fox had gone. After all, from the release Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen until the Jennifer’s Body bomb exploded, Ms. Fox had been everywhere. Magazine covers, racy photo shoots, more magazine covers and, yes, tons of online articles because, let’s be honest, Megan Fox captures eyeballs. Not literally, that would be weird…yet a lot more interesting than Megan Fox actually is.
So in the spirit of the summer of 2009, here’s some outtakes from Fox’s recent spread (ahem) for the NY Times magazine. She looks so natural in these pics. I can picture Megan Fox actually making these poses when watching Short Circuit 2.

Letters to Juliet looks to be another "woman-engaged-to-one-man-goes-overseas-meets-another-man-and-ends-up-with-him" romantic comedy that's the exact same thing we've seen a million times before. This is why I enjoyed Vicky Cristina Barcelona so much. Because it actually tackled the subject with some sense of realism. Not the fluff we see today. The movie stars Amanda Seyfried, Christopher Egan and Gael Garcia Bernal. I do like how they stereotyped Italians. Actually, they didn't. We really do talk like we're always confused. And the trailer tells you Everything. Seriously, I have no reason at all to ever want to see this movie when I just saw the beginning, middle and end of it. What the hell? Remember when movies used to surprise you?See for yourself. Cheerleaders are man-eaters. No-one understands the pain of the teenage girl. Yes we get the metaphor. That doesn’t make Jennifer’s Body a better film because of it. Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) is the sexy, popular captain of the high school cheerleading squad. She is kidnapped and sacrificed by an out of town rock band hoping to make it big. When the ritual goes wrong, she comes back to life as a demon who gains her power by feasting on the town’s teenage male population. Only her ‘frumpy’ best friend Needy (Amanda Seyfried) can stop Jennifer from eating more of her classmates. Coming form the pen of Oscar winning scriptwriter Diablo Cody, the film promised much. Well written lead roles for women are still a rarity but it’s sad to say this isn’t one of those. The snappy dialogue of Juno fails to fly off the »
