David Callaham to Write ‘Wonder Woman’ Sequel for Warner Bros and DC
The Expendables” screenwriter David Callaham will write the “Wonder Woman” sequel screenplay, an individual with knowledge of the project tells TheWrap. The script will be based on a treatment written by DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns and “Wonder Woman” director Patty Jenkins. Callaham’s hiring comes on the heels of Jenkins recently closing her deal to the direct the sequel. Jenkins hand picked Callaham to write the sequel. TheWrap previously confirmed that, like “Wonder Woman,” “Wonder Woman 2” will be a period piece, with Princess Diana facing off against the Soviet Union during the 1980s.
