Garner Surprised At Fast Pregnancy

Jennifer Garner fell pregnant with Ben Affleck's baby just eight days after the couple decided to start a family.
The Elektra star admits she was surprised when she first learned she was expecting daughter Violet, now four, because it happened so quickly.
She tells W magazine, "We were together for a year, and we just started breeding.
"We were like, 'Let's have a baby!' And eight days later..."
The Hollywood couple, which wed in June 2005, also has a second daughter, Seraphina, 11 months. »
Brolin Broke Malkovich's Thumb In Hex Fight

Actor John Malkovich was forced to suffer for his art filming upcoming movie Jonah Hex after breaking his thumb in an onscreen fight with co-star Josh Brolin.
The In the Line of Fire star plays villain Quentin Turnbull in the Western, a big screen adaptation of the popular comic books, with Brolin as disfigured bounty hunter Hex.
The pair is good pals off-screen but Brolin admits one particular action scene got so heated, he ended up breaking Malkovich's thumb.
But the W. actor was surprised at how calm Malkovich was dealing with the injury.
Brolin explains, "I had a fight with him on the movie that we did, he did amazingly and he ended up, I think, breaking his thumb. We were fighting during the movie and we're screaming at each other, and there's a knife in his hands and then they (the directors) say, 'Cut!'. Then he says, 'Josh can you come here for a second?' and I'm like, 'Sure'. And he goes, 'Can you pull my thumb?' So I go, 'Er, yes, I guess', so I pull it and he goes, 'Thank you, I think you broke it.' And I did, I broke it." »
Woods Loses Nomination For Congressional Medal

The affair scandal surrounding Tiger Woods has cost him a top honour from the U.S. Congress.
The golf champion's pristine reputation has been tarnished in recent weeks after crashing his car outside his Florida mansion and then confessing to "transgressions" following reports he had cheated on his wife, Elin, with a string of women.
Woods was previously nominated as a recipient of the highest Congressional award for a civilian by Democrat representative Joe Baca, in recognition of his "service to the Nation in promoting excellence and good sportsmanship, and in breaking barriers with grace and dignity by showing that golf is a sport for all people".
But the athlete's tabloid scandal has led to Baca reconsidering his nomination and the congressman has withdrawn his petition.
In a statement issued on Wednesday morning, Baca said, "In light of the recent developments surrounding Tiger Woods and his family, I will not pursue legislation awarding him the Congressional Gold Medal this session." »

Eli Roth paid his way through film school with a job as an online sex worker.
The Hostel director and star of Inglourious Basterds was paid by porn giant Penthouse to titillate men on the internet by pretending to be a rock groupie called Tami.
Roth tells NYPost.com's PopWrap, "When I was in college I used to work as an online operator for Penthouse, posing as a woman. That's how I paid for my student films. They hired guys because guys know what other guys want to hear.
"The creepy thing was, because this was in 1991, we only got doctors and scientists because they were the ones using the Internet. One guy told a customer he was a stripper and he started FedExing him cash - I never took it to that level, but guys were paying $1 a minute to talk with us. There were ads for me in magazines too!"
Roth kept the conversations realistic by creating a whole back story for Tami: "She was a dirty w**re who lived in the East Village (in New York). Tami was a heavy metal chick who had a gang bang with Guns N' Roses and Poison in one night!"
And he was so convincing, when he finally decided to out himself as a man to his regulars, they didn't believe him: "The last night my friend and I outed ourselves. We wrote, 'We are men! We have penises! We've been f**king with you the whole time!'

British supermodel Naomi Campbell is in talks to follow in the footsteps of Tyra Banks and front her own reality TV modelling competition.
The catwalk beauty has been offered a role hosting a new show in Britain, similar to America's Next Top Model, which is presented by model-turned-tv star Banks.
A representative for the star has confirmed Campbell is currently considering the job but has yet to sign up.
The rep tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "Naomi has been approached with an offer, which we are talking about and discussing ... but nothing has been set in stone yet." »

The Human Traffic star began dating Joanne Mas when he was a teenager, but the pair split last year after he was caught cheating on her with another woman.
The couple has since reunited, and now Dyer is keen to make their relationship last by walking down the aisle - although he is planning an impromptu ceremony with just his girlfriend and their two children.

Osbourne's Sadness For Hasselhoff's Children

Kelly Osbourne is full of sympathy for David Hasselhoff's children and is urging the star to overcome his alcohol problems for the sake of his family.
The reality TV star, who has battled her own addiction demons, was sad to learn the former Baywatch actor was hospitalised again last month.
Hasselhoff, who has a long history of alcoholism, was hit by rumours he had suffered a seizure, while other media outlets reported the 57 year old was detained on an involuntary psychiatric hold. He's since insisted the rumours about his health are completely unfounded, saying he's "happy and healthy".
But the hospital visit follows a year of relapses for Hasselhoff - he was admitted to rehab in October amid reports he accidentally hit a doctor during a booze binge. He has also been hospitalised on two separate occasions this year, reportedly suffering from alcohol poisoning.
And Osbourne fears the star's health and addiction problems will have a bad impact on his two daughters, 19-year-old Taylor and Hayley, 17.
Taking to her column in Britain's Closer magazine, she writes, "I was so sad to read about David Hasselhoff being hospitalised because of alcohol again. Addiction is the hardest thing in the world to overcome - it's a constant battle with yourself - but I hope he can beat it for his children's sake. I really feel for his 17-year-old daughter, Hayley, who had to call the paramedics for him. She's such a sweet girl and it must be horrible for her." »
Brolin Joins The Men In Black

Josh Brolin is preparing to fight aliens with Will Smith - he's reportedly in talks to join the Men In Black.
The hugely successful series, which follows the adventures of alien immigration officers, first hit the big screen in 1997 and was followed by a hit 2002 sequel, Men in Black II.
The franchise is being resurrected for a third movie by Tropic Thunder screenwriter Etan Cohen, and Hollywood superstar Smith is expected to reprise his role as Agent J.
Brolin is now said to be in negotiations to join the cast, amid rumours he will replace Smith's former onscreen partner Tommy Lee Jones, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Director Barry Sonnenfeld is expected to return to helm his third Men In Black, which is expected to begin production next year. »
Everett's Father Dies

British actor Rupert Everett is in mourning following the death of his father.
Former army Major Anthony Everett, 87, passed away peacefully at home in England on 20 November, just days before his 88th birthday.
The My Best Friend's Wedding star attended the funeral in Wiltshire, England last Wednesday and asked mourners to donate to his father's favourite charities, Help for Heroes and the Injured Jockeys Fund, instead of sending flowers.
The star also spoke at the memorial service, reading a chapter of his own autobiography, Red Carpets and Other Banana Skins, which described a trip down the Amazon river with his dad.
Everett admits he is devastated by his father's death, but takes comfort in the knowledge he is no longer suffering.
He says, "It was a nice funeral. Your attitude at 25 to the death of your father is different from when you are 50. There is a different kind of frisson; it is fear for yourself as well, and a sense of all generations being one person.
"In a way, I was pleased that he died because he had been ill for years, just wear and tear, so that, little by little, his faculties had deserted him. He had lost his sight and become more cut off from the world but the way he dealt with it was admirable and touching. He was very stoic. And at the same time he got everything he wanted. He had the old country life, which will disappear soon."

Reality TV star Tila Tequila has announced her engagement to socialite girlfriend Casey Johnson in a bizarre online video.
The internet pin-up, real name Tila Nguyen, appeared with the Johnson & Johnson heiress on Wednesday morning in a video posting on Ustream.com.
Clad in black and kissing Johnson, Tequila told fans: "We have an announcement... This is exclusive and going to be all over the news tomorrow, but because I love you guys so much, we are giving you the exclusive first - Tila army fans - tonight, my girlfriend has asked me to marry her!"
The 27-year-old then flashed a what she called a "17-carat diamond ring from my baby", and hit back at rumours the sparkler is a fake, adding, "my baby is a f***king baller. She's a billionaire! She's the heiress of Johnson and Johnson."

Hollywood director Steven Spielberg has picked up another accolade to add to his impressive collection - he's landed The Motion Picture Sound Editors' (Mpse) 2010 Filmmaker Award.
The E.T. director will be honoured at Mpse's Golden Reel awards ceremony on 20 February in Los Angeles, for the groundbreaking soundtracks incorporated in his projects.

Perry's Mother Dies

Movie mogul Tyler Perry is mourning the death of his mother - who passed away on Tuesday at age 64.
Willie Maxine Perry's death was announced by the Madea Goes to Jail filmmaker on his website, where he posted a picture of himself and his mother, writing simply: "Thank you for all your prayers."
Perry did not mention the cause of death.
The matriarch was a preschool teacher who worked at the New Orleans Jewish Community Center for most of her life. Perry has credited her as the basis for his outlandish Madea movie character.
A spokesperson for Perry had not responded to requests for comment as WENN went to press. »
Broadway Producers Appoint Partially-Blind Girl As Breslin's Understudy

Broadway bosses have appeased campaigners for disabled actors by casting a visually impaired girl as Abigail Breslin's understudy in The Miracle Worker, after the star's appointment as a deaf and blind girl was met with criticism.
The Oscar nominee, 13, will make her Broadway debut next year as Helen Keller in the revival of William Gibson's play, about a youngster who is taught how to communicate by her instructor.
Campaigners for impaired actors at the Alliance for Inclusion in the Arts hit out at Breslin's casting, insisting a disabled actress should have been considered for the starring role.
The Miracle Worker's producer, David Richenthal, took note of the advocacy group's comments and invited the Alliance's executive director, Sharon Jensen, to hold auditions for a suitable understudy.
Ten-year-old Kyra Ynez Siegel, who suffered an injury to her right eye at the age of nine which left her with only partial sight, will now stand in for Breslin if the star is forced to miss a performance - but the producer insists she won the role based on her talents alone.
Richenthal tells the New York Times, "Kyra gave the best audition, showing real acting talent and physical skill and physical stamina. We were aware she had significant vision loss, but I can't say that influenced us one way or another. I'm pleased we found a brilliant young actress as a result of this outreach."
The Miracle Worker is set to open on 3 March, marking the 50th anniversary of the show's Broadway debut. »

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen has become a first-time mum after welcoming a baby boy with husband Tom Brady, according to U.S. reports.
The American football star, 32, who married Bundchen in February, revealed in September the catwalk star was expecting the couple's first child together. Details of the birth, reported by People.com, have not been disclosed.
The Victoria's Secret stunner, 29, is already step-mum to Brady's two-year-old son Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Brady confessed earlier this month he was aware of the baby's gender, but that Bundchen preferred not to know.
He said, "I'm really the only one that knows at this point. It's a pretty good feeling knowing something that nobody else knows, especially her, a very intelligent woman."

Law Joins Ledger Scholarship Panel

Jude Law has joined a panel of Hollywood stars to judge the winner of an Australian film scholarship which was created as a tribute to late actor Heath Ledger .
The inaugural Australians in Film Scholarship was set up by Ledger's ex-fiancee Michelle Williams, and is supported by the Ledger family, Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Baz Luhrmann.
Actress Rachel Griffiths and moviemaker Gregor Jordan fronted this year's panel, which saw Australian performer Oliver Ackland pick up the $10,000 (£6,250) bursary in January.
And Law, who was one of three stars to replace Ledger in his film The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus, is happy to have been given the chance to pay tribute to the late actor, who died last year.
He says, "I am delighted and honoured to do what I can to keep Heath's legacy alive. He was a brilliant actor and a wonderful man and it is only fitting that this scholarship has been developed in his name."
The winner of the next scholarship will be announced in February. »
Actress True Granted Restraining Order

The Craft star Rachel True has been granted a temporary restraining order against a woman who showed up outside her house clutching a sex toy.
The actress was left shaken after police arrested Elenora Redmon outside her home on 27 November amid allegations she had been following the 43 year old for over a year and bombarding her with explicit emails.
True took her concerns to court and was granted a temporary restraining order against Redmon on 30 November.
Redmon has been ordered to stay at least 150 yards (137 metres) away from the star at all times. She is currently behind bars on $150,000 (£93,750) bail following her 27 November arrest. A court hearing to review the restraining order has been scheduled for 17 December, according to TMZ.com. »
