Can Blumhouse Save the ‘Halloween’ Franchise?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: horror franchises have the hardest time of any genre to sustain good quality.  The reason why should pretty much be self-evident at this point.  The talented individuals who started the franchises off the on the right foot tend to leave for bigger, better and more prestigious projects after the first or second installment, leaving the creative vacuum to be filled by increasingly low-rung talent.  And because of how cheaply and quickly these things can be cranked out – usually requiring only a few days of principle photography, minimal special effects and

Days of Our Lives fans aren’t going to worry much longer that Eric is really gone. He’s not. He’s here. He’s happy. He’s in a good place, and he is doing all he needs to do to make the world a good place. He’s going to be gone only a few weeks, which means that Brady might just need to reevaluate his current situation. Can he afford to do what he’s been doing for so long? Can he afford to spend another moment working on his personal life with Nicole when Eric is coming back? We don’t know what this

Anyone Else Think Joseph Sikora and Cate Blanchett Look an Awful Lot A Like?

Well, besides the most obvious differences Joseph Sikora and Cate Blanchett kind of do look alike. They do have the same haunting stare, the same color of eyes, and even the same kind of facial expressions. But from there it’s easier to state that they share the same face and body type than anything else.  You might have heard it said a time or two that there are only so many facial and body variations in the world, and looking at different people that look vaguely the same you can see it’s quite true. That being said, Blanchett’s face shape

The Orville Season 1 Episode 1 Review: “Old Wounds”

Seth MacFarlane is known as the comedian who manages to do crazy controversial stuff yet has a discerning intellectual personality. While casual viewers of Seth MacFarlane may not know this, he was often a person who would show his sci-fi/geek side often appearing on episodes of “Enterprise” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” when they were on the air; it was only when Family Guy appeared on Adult Swim and the show garnered a fanbase (which would get the show uncanceled) that MacFarlane was able to express that side more fluently creating comedies like Ted while exploring his sciency side with

Dancing in 80s Movies Supercut Volume 2

Ah the 80’s. A time of dancing, a time of music, and a time of wondering if that person on the dance floor was having a seizure or just making up the moves as they went. Seriously though there was a Lot of movement in the 80’s when it came to dancing. The time of line-dancing and energetic choreography hadn’t yet run its course and despite what you might say about dancing now it’s just not the same. I could easily argue up and down the block a few times with anyone that thinks dance moves are in any way

This is How Wonder Woman Should have Ended

Maybe it should be titled this is how Wonder Woman should have looked overall. Seriously I am dying laughing over here. Had Moana’s grandmother showed up in Wonder Woman even as a cameo I think people would have left the theater in tears just laughing. You have to admit it fits just a bit, but stating this is how Wonder Woman should have ended is only half right. The worlds most famous Amazonian princess is certainly spirited enough to undertake a mission that her mother might not approve of, but is naive enough to believe that she’s going to eradicate

Did You Know Jessica Jones is the Most Watched Marvel Netflix Show?

Out of all the McU shows on Netflix Jessica Jones is the most-watched. That might come as a bit of a surprise since she seems to like acting surly and getting her drink on most of the time but it’s true according to Netflix’s numbers.  It’s not too surprising since she’s a more down to earth character unlike the others such as Luke Cage, Daredevil, and Iron Fist. Without any real need to explain Iron Fist is the last to be selected when people pick something to watch. His story isn’t horrible, but in comparison to the others it’s a

Does “Diesel Brothers” Truly Teach Us About Cars?

The Discovery Channel first hit the airwaves in 1985. Since that time, the network has evolved from their presentation of purely educational documentaries on science, to include series that appeal to a wider segment of the population. There is a high level of competition among cable networks and the evolution has kept the network in step with their competitors. “The Diesel Brothers” is one such show. It’s still educational, but it is more entertaining for people who are passionate about diesel powered trucks, with some educational information slipped in as a courtesy. Is this show strictly for the education of

Why Ray Donovan is Still Must See TV

Liev Schreiber has never been better. Four years (plus season 5 now) into Ray Donovan, and he’s still giving us a reason to watch, the very same reasons we tuned in to the show back in 2013. The crime drama actually broke pilot viewership records for Showtime, and majority of that probably came from Schreiber’s celebrity pull. After the first few episodes, though, we quickly realize that the pull of Donovan comes from its ensemble. Ann Biderman, creator, writer, and producer, has given us a few good works to feast on. Her resume may be short, but it includes TV

All 32 NBA teams Reimagined with Pokemon for their Logos

The reimagining of team logos with Pokemon isn’t something that’s all that new.  However, with regard to sports I can safely say we haven’t seen it utilized in the NBA style before.  I’ve seen NFL style, Mlb style, and even NHL style logos with Pokemon substitutes but never have I seen the NBA, at least not all 32 teams in the league.  However as you’ll see in these photos via Deezlobs,on Imgur, they did a heck of a job. Something tells me that Brooklyn would want a tougher image than this Pokemon can give them. It just seems too happy

Five Things You Didn’t Know about Shannon de Lima

I know I’ve heard the name Shannon de Lima and it didn’t have anything to do with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Is the internet and Hollywood just getting so flooded with names that remembering them all is becoming a burden? At the moment this de Lima is most well known for being romantically linked to boxer Canelo Alvarez.   The fact remains that while she is somebody we’re aware of, she’s hard to pin down since there isn’t a lot about her that doesn’t have to do with someone else that’s just a little more famous. However, here are a few

The Most Memorable Horror Movie Theme Songs of All-Time

Horror movie themes are instantly creepy. They’re skillfully composed to conjure up the worst of our gut reactions, visceral emotions, and instinctive flight reactions. The best horror genre theme songs are those which accompany the most iconic films…the ones that we think of first because the music and movie are vividly linked in our memories. Some of the musical motives are powerful enough that we think of them even without their films. When a horror movie theme song is used as a cultural reference outside of its film, it becomes part of popular expression, and we realize its greatness. Such

A Selection of Movie Scenes that Almost Killed the Stunt Double

Stunt doubles are without a doubt some of the toughest people on the planet, but even they have a limit. If you’ve seen some of the things they do then you might think twice about calling them glorified risk-takers. They literally put their body on the line for their craft and usually do so to complete a film and make an actor look good. The kind of things they do risk life and limb so often that it’s a wonder that any of them are able to walk way after some of the things they do. Some stars actually do
