Exclusive: Edi Gathegi and Alex Meraz talk 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'

The two may go head to head in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, but there's no real animosity between Edi Gathegi and Alex Meraz when it comes to off-camera life. Gathegi is notoriously "Team Laurent," and often he puns that his character fared well in an obviously unfair five-on-one fight in the book and film sequences. The two joined up to speak about the film, and here's what they had to say. Q: What was your favorite stunt to do? Alex: For me, my favorite stunt to do was the cliff-diving scene. It’s pretty fun when you get the chance to jump off this fifty foot scaffolding just to practice the form, and it’s really exciting. I mean, it’s a good thing when an actor can actually perform your own stunts; it’s pretty rare. Edi: I actually had a ton of fun on the second unit. »

Details on 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' DVD already surfacing

Collider did a write-up of an interview with New Moon director Chris Weitz which revealed that there will be about 20 minutes of footage included in the deleted scenes category and that at least ten minutes of it would be "groovy stuff they haven't seen." Though the production was, by the accounts of the actors and actresses involved, a very methodical and organized process, surely there are some sequences that weren't included in the film - ten minutes worth, it seems. Since most of you probably haven't seen the movie yet, it'll be difficult to guess at what scenes might've been expanded upon or cut from the theatrical versi ... »

Taylor Lautner at 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' press conference and more

Taylor Lautner, like co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, was out in full force today for The Twilight Saga: New Moon's press conference. For starters, he participated in the wonderful press conference for the film, and HitFix did a really great recapitulation of Lautner's involvement in that meeting. Whatever Lautner did, it worked, catching the attention of a co-star who isn't exactly doormat, if the squealing fans are to be believed. Cracks Robert Pattinson, "I didn't see Taylor until just a little bit before we started shooting, so when he came back, I had the same reaction as everybody else. It's like 'Geez... Now I have to go to the gym.'" Also noticing was Weitz, which may explain why Lautner s ... »

Kristen Stewart takes 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' press junket by storm

The Twilight Saga: New Moon's lovely leading lady joined her co-stars in participating in the quite whirlwind press junket for the film today. During the press conference, Stewart revealed just what was on that list that Chris Weitz notoriously handed out in the beginning of production for New Moon. Chris did a very different thing that I’ve never had a director do. He put together, it’s like a syllabus almost of what we were supposed to achieve and how he was going to make it easier for everyone, sort of an introduction to how he likes to work. It didn’t only introduce the idea of collaboration, it was like inviting everyone onto this project and saying, ‘Please, everyone love it, and please, everyone be invested and work hard.’ It was very encouraging. She also talked about what the most rewarding point is, to her, about b. »

'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' press junket produces interview after interview with Robert Pattinson

Today was the day to end all days where The Twilight Saga: New Moon press was concerned. The film's press junket was today, and, as an understatement, there were an inestimable amount of interviews with Robert Pattinson. Interestingly enough, in his portion of the press junket, Pattinson discussed The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn and stated that shooting was tentatively planned for fall 2010, according to FEARnet's Jen Yamato. Below are some of the many video interviews poste... »

Stephenie Meyer to appear on Oprah Winfrey Show in support of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'

Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer has come out in support of the release of Chris Weitz's The Twilight Saga: New Moon to say that she'll be appearing on Oprah Winfrey's daytime television show on Friday, November 13th. She let fans know of her plans to appear on the show by way of her official website. Hi everybody! I wanted to apprise you all of a few upcoming things. You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to sho... »

Team 411 tackles Kristen Stewart fansite favorites

6 November 2009 10:15 AM, PST

Today, Team 411 has pinned their focus on what's what in the Kristen Stewart fan community. While there are a ton of sites that do a beautiful job, they've got their favorites, and they've got their reasons. There’s a lot of information about Kristen Stewart on the internets these days. It’s one of the bonuses of her increased profile—it’s easier to find Kristen-fixes now. There used to be only a handful of fansites, several of which never seemed to update, and links to obscure interviews from this or that film festival. It makes my fake job with #KStew411 a lot easier since so many new sites have sprung up in the last year, and some of the stalwarts have vastly upgraded to keep up with the increased supply and demand. Team 411 does kill a lot of time sur ... »

Exclusive: Michael Welch, Anna Kendrick, Christian Serratos, and Justin Chon talk 'New Moon'

6 November 2009 12:05 AM, PST

Fans of the Twilight series oftentimes refer to Michael Welch, Anna Kendrick, Christian Serratos, and Justin Chon as the "humans" of the series because of the fact that their characters are the few in the Twilight books and films, aside from Kristen Stewart's and Billy Burke's, that are completely human. The four share a common trait for wit and intellect, and they all took the time to talk about The Twilight Saga: New Moon. Q: In New Moon you have a kind of love triangle going on. I’m curious to see how that ended up playing out for you. Michael: There are a couple of different love triangles there. There’s obviously the one between Bella and Jacob and Edward that Mike is trying to squeeze into. More of a love rectangle. And I guess there’s the one between Mike and Jessica and Bella. You know, »

Alexandre Desplat's 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' score playlist revealed

5 November 2009 9:31 PM, PST

Last year, Carter Burwell took the Twilight would by storm with his wildly appropriate compositions for the film's score, and, this year, Alexandre Desplat is all set to do the same with his score of The Twilight Saga: New Moon. If you've listened to the New Moon soundtrack, you've already heard one portion of Desplat's work, "New Moon [The Meadow]," but the score for The Twilight Saga: New Moon will much more fully purvey Desplat's musical trappings. The album is set for release on November 24th, and its cover art was only recently revealed. Now, thanks to a fantastic new press release, the entire track list for the album is available. Grizzly Bear singer Chris Taylor explains why he is on 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' soundtrack

5 November 2009 9:05 PM, PST

Grizzly Bear contributed the melancholy and methodical "Slow Life [with Victoria Legrand]" to the official soundtrack for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, an album that has quickly risen to the top spot on Billboard's Top 200 list and solidified the Twilight series as the first soundtrack and sequel soundtrack to consecutively do so, but you might be surprised at singer Chris Taylor's summation of how and why he became a part of the album's incredible contributor list. Taylor had an interview with Pitchfork where he described what brought him and Grizzly Bear to produce the New Moon song. Initially, it was like, "What?!" But Thom Yorke did it, and we like him. It's like: "If dad does it, it's Ok, right?" Radiohead are like parents of good modern rock 'n' roll in certain ways. They paved that path. They've always maintaine ... »

'Twilight' star Jamie Campbell Bower wants Tim Burton to direct 'The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn'

5 November 2009 8:47 PM, PST

Jamie Campbell Bower, who portrays Caius in The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has not, it seems, forgotten the source of his big break in the film industry. You might remember him as Anthony in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street, and, if you do, you'll know that it was director Tim Burton (as well as the minor detail of phenomenal castmates like Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter) that ushered in Bower's career as a film star. Since then, of course, Bower has continued to make a name for himself with roles in films like RocknRolla (by Guy Ritchie) and Winter In Wartime. He's also been cast as the elusive Gellert Grindelwald in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part I and Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part II. Yet, when MTV interviewer Eric Ditzian asked Bower who he'd pick as director of the not-yet-officially-greenlit The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (which, »

Ashley Greene might join the cast of 'Apparition'

5 November 2009 7:48 PM, PST

Ashley Greene's next piece of non-Twilight work might just be Todd Lincoln's The Apparition, according to a recent Variety report. Apparently, Greene is in talks to star in the thriller film, and, if she does join the cast, she'll be starting in February. The film is to be written and directed by Lincoln, and, according to Variety, it "centers on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment." If slated for the project, it certainly wouldn't be the first time she starred in a horror genre picture. In fact, her film Summer's Blood only recently made its way to DVD. In that film, Greene portrayed the victim of a kidnapping by a deran ... »

'Twilight' stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner on Top 25 Celebrity Hotlist

5 November 2009 7:28 PM, PST

They're the biggest trio of faces in film-based pop culture since Harry Potter's Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, and they're all extremely lovely in their own way. They're also the leading cast mates of one of the most heavily involved film franchises in the world right now, and everybody knows who they are - everybody. They're Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner, and according to their recent listing on People Magazine's "Top 25 Celebrity Hotlist," they're some of "[t]he most buzzed about stars this minute." Number one on the list was the one and only Kristen Stewart, followed by the sought-after Mr. Pattinson in second place. Lautner finished at a clean eleventh, but with the competitively buzzing stars put on this list, that positioning is still a testament to his drawing power. Other stars on the list included Kanye West and Taylor Swift. Though Swift ... »

Noticeable 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' wolfpack enhancements

5 November 2009 7:00 PM, PST

Twilighters Anonymous has done an interesting analysis of the noticeable The Twilight Saga: New Moon wolfpack enhancements from teaser to trailer. In this image, a comparison is drawn between the wolf previewed in the very first teaser trailer for New Moon (presented by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards) and that of the wolf previewed in the later, fuller trailer for the film. Among the things noted to have changed with the re-vamped CGI wolves are the teeth, the eyes, and the fur of the animal. Ta also took the effort of creating a side-by-side comparison ... »

New poster for 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'

4 November 2009 11:58 AM, PST

You all remember when the title art for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse debuted on the Official Twilight Twitter page, and you certainly recall the first still image of Eclipse (featuring Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart as Edward Cullen and Bella Swan) which was featured in People Magazine's special New Moon edition. Now, Dread Central has uncovered a new poster for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, a one-sheet presentation for Eclipse at the American Film Market (presently ongoing). The poster is a bit eerie, necessarily so, and it captivates the nightfall-esque sense that Eclipse brings in some portions. Included also is t ... »

Check out Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Harper's Bazaar

4 November 2009 10:07 AM, PST

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, co-stars in The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, are on the cover of the December edition of Harper's Bazaar, and the view is fantastic! The two get really up-close and personal with the interviewer and give a no-nonsense glimpse into the lives they currently lead as the leading man and lady in one of the most celebrated franchises in the world. As a sample of the interview, the two discuss Stewart's personality and talent "People think I'm trying to be rebellious, but that's the last thing I'm doing," she says. "But I would hate myself if I tried to satisfy the people who have a problem with the way I speak about myself, so it's okay." "Kristen doesn't take any slack," Rob says. "She sticks to ... »
