Charles Michael Davis and Phoebe Tonkin Tease Tone, Friction of The Originals

The Originals are coming to The CW this fall.

With this Vampire Diaries spinoff set for Tuesdays at 8 - up against such competition as NCIS and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - we caught up with two of the show's cast members last Thursday morning at the network's Upfront in New York City.

First, breakout star Charles Michael Davis (Marcel) talks about the clear friction that exists between his character and Joseph Morgan's Klaus, as we well as the brotherly push and pull that will continue to be at the center of this relationship:

Charles Michael Davis Speaks on The Originals

Next, Phoebe Tonkin teases a slightly different tone for The Originals, largely because Hayley is pregnant with a hybrid baby. What must that be like?!? Watch now for scoop from the beautiful actress:

Arrow Season 2 Spoilers: Pair of Big Bads to Come!

In a pair of exclusive interviews last week, Stephen Amell and Colton Haynes shared their hopes for Arrow Season 2.

But executive producer Marc Guggenheim has now come out and revealed actual plans for his CW hit this fall, revealing to TV Guide:

"We'll have two big bads. They'll both be very recognizable names to fans of the comic book. We're really excited about both of them."

Guggenheim, of course, would not announce the identities of these villains, but he did tease a "Malcolm-esque big bad and a Dark Archer-esque big bad."

Might we assume that Deathstroke will be one of Oliver's new antagonists? Guggenheim would only preview the following:

"If the question of Season 1 is, 'What happened to Oliver on that island?' The question of Season 2 is, 'What happened to Slade Wilson on that island?'"

Rookie Blue Q&A: Missy Peregrym Teases "Season of Change" for Andy

With Rookie Blue Season 4 kicking off this Thursday, the the hit ABC drama promises lots of twist, turns and "Surprises" to fill our summer.

In anticipation of the premiere, I spoke to Missy Peregrym yesterday, as she predicts a season of change for Andy and talks about that undeniable chemistry between her and Sam. Read on for excerpts from our exclusive Q&A...

-------------------------------------------

I've seen the Season 4 premiere and without giving any real spoilers away, how many times did you get dunked in the pool while you were filming that opening scene?

You know what sucked about that, is that originally we were able to film that kind of in the Fall but it was still warm out. And then we couldn't because it was raining and there was a thunderstorm so it was dangerous to do it. So we had to go back when it was freezing out »

Daniel Sunjata and Vanessa Ferlito Preview Graceland

It's nearly summer, which means it's nearly the season of USA.

With such established hits as Suits and Burn Notice making their returns in just a few weeks, the network will also be offering up a new series titled Graceland.

Based on a true story, it sticks six federal agents - from the FBI, DEA and Customs - in a home previously owned by an Elvis-loving drug dealer. What kind of tone should viewers expect from the drama, which premieres June 6?

We asked that question of Daniel Sunjata on the red carpet of last week's USA Upfront:

Daniel Sunjata Interview

We also caught up with Vanessa Ferlito, who explained why Graceland is unlike anything seen on television before:

The series premiere June 6 at 10/9c and you can watch the first Graceland trailer now! »

Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland to Judge The X Factor

Simon Cowell has spoken.

The X Factor producer confirmed yesterday that Paulina Rubio and Kelly Rowland will come on board Season 3 of his Fox singing competition, replacing Britney Spears and L.A. Reid and joining him and Demi Lovato on the panel.

Saying he's "delighted" with the selections, Cowell added in a statement: “It just feels like the time to do something different.”

Rubio has judged Mexico's version of The Voice, while Rowland has done the same for the British X Factor.

Already in the taunting spirit that defines the show - much to the chagrin of many viewers - Rubio announced of her casting: “Simon, be careful what you wish for. Let’s see if you are ready to handle me, empieza la fiesta, amigo!”

What do you think of Rubio and Rowland as judges? Will you be tuning in to watch them this fall? »

Warehouse 13 Review: Fight or Flight

"The Sky's the Limit" brought Kelly Hu into the Warehouse 13 mix to help Artie cope with the evil he unleashed.

Artie is still very shaken over Leena’s death and his cause in all of it - and he’s been on a flight rather than fight path as a result.

Artie has only ever wanted to protect those closest to him and for him end up the cause of the greatest pain possible is prompting him to make up for lost time.

Hu’s Abigail offered a great injection of life into the Warehouse. Artie needs someone new and impartial to help him break out of his funk and Abigail might be just the person. She’s willing to go toe to toe with him without pandering to him, but Abigail also wants to explain and help Artie along with emotional connections and bonds.

Abigail knows exactly what Artie is going through. »

Revolution Review: Holding Fate

This week, Revolution began to head right back to where it all started: the Tower.

"Clue" dug down to the hard reality the rebels are under. They can be overwhelmed in an instant; their families are constantly in danger; and they are never alone. It’s a stressful burden to be under, and Nora’s capture by Monroe was a manifestation of it.

No one can blame Nora for finally giving in after being drugged and tortured. Those kinds of actions will make anyone talk eventually.

Above all, the burdens everyone faced caused paranoia and distrust to spread quickly, as all on the helicopter experienced it. Jim being the mole wasn’t the surprise. The surprise was really how quickly suspicions turned toward distrust and threats of each other.

Miles is usually calm and collected no matter what the situation and he certainly tried to be so in the beginning »

Hawaii Five-0 Review: A Matter of Trust

And then there were three.

Alongside some averted terrorist events, fratricide and comingthisclose to finally getting to the bottom of the Doris-Wo Fat situation, "Aloha, Malama Pono (Farewell and Take Care)" also saw the team undergo a fundamental change. Due to the loss of Kono.

But did it, really? Count me as skeptical that Kono is going to stay on the run for very long or that the actions of tonight's episode will have lasting ramifications.

Don't get me wrong - there were many things to like about the Hawaii Five-0 Season 3 finale, including some zingy Hawaii 5-0 quotes and a truly vicious murder for the crew to solve. But ultimately, the episode was about promising higher stakes than could be delivered.

I blame the Noshimuris. Through a season that gave us plenty of heinous baddies to watch the gang take down, Michael Noshimuri was something of a flat villain. »

The Secret Life of the American Teenager Review: Breakup Blues

A word to the wise: never spill your secrets to Adrian! The latest episode of The Secret Life of the American Teenager showed us something that most people have probably known since the beginning of this series: don't trust Adrian with private matters.

Another good tip learned in "When Bad Things Happen to Bad People?" Don't go near Adrian when she's been hurt.

Lest you think I'm being too hard on Adrian, I'll start by saying that it sucks what happened between her and Omar. Though it might save them both from a lot of future heartache, the present situation is definitely not enjoyable. The thing is, I always thought Omar was a pretty stand up guy. But the way he sprung that breakup on Adrian was classless.

He spent a whole night having sex with her... then dropped the bomb the next morning while she was headed out to class. »

Defiance Review: Ghost of The Past

It’s become clearer each week that the relationship Nolan and Irisa possess is deeper and more complex than what you get at first glance.

"Brothers In Arms" added another layer to this as we learned that Nolan had help saving Irisa and that it was luck that landed Eddie in prison and Nolan with a daughter instead of the other way around.

As for Irisa, as I suspected last week, things are awkward with her and Tommy. Okay, just with Tommy at least, as he attempted to continue their relationship and she shut him down pretty hard. I doubt we've heard the last of it, but for now things are mostly cooling off.

This is true for Nolan and Kenya too, which surprises me. Given that he helped save her life, I would have guessed she would have latched on to him more not pushing him away. But this »

20 May 2013 10:30 AM, PDT

With the long summer hiatus just beginning, TV Fanatic is going back and grading some of our favorite shows. Having already submitted our The Mentalist Season 5 Report Card, it's time now to review Once Upon a Time season 2.

What worked? What failed miserably? What grade would you give the season as a whole? Scroll down and sound off...

Best Episode:  "Second Star to the Right" As much as I liked the season finale, it was the penultimate episode of the season that ranked #1. Neal admitted to Emma that a day hadn't gone by that he didn't regret leaving her. He not only confessed his love for Emma but also proved what a selfless parent he was by sacrificing himself so that Henry wouldn't end up an orphan. Add to that, Tamara's evil plans were finally exposed to all and Baelfire's back story from the Enchanted Forest to 19th Century England, »
