Is NBC Close to Sealing a New Deal with Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien?
If nothing else, this story is great fodder for the late-night monologues. Even as NBC was assuring Jay Leno that his current job was safe and sound, speculation began to run wild about the fate of Conan O'Brien and The Tonight Show. According to numerous reports, NBC is desperately trying to move Leno's show out of primetime and into O'Brien's timeslot—without causing the current The Tonight Show host to bolt to a different network. And where does the deal stand? The New York Times is reporting that a deal is essentially in place which would move Leno back to his old stomping grounds at 11:35 p.m. for a half-hour show. Doing this would push O'Brien's Tonight Show »

Review: Youth in Revolt the Most Ceratastic Michael Cera Movie Ever! (Also, It's Funny)
Review in a Hurry: A floppy young man (Michael Cera) develops an alter ego (an unblinking Michael Cera) to win over a girl, in this flick that's surprisingly funny for something released in the usual bad-movie desert of January. The Bigger Picture: Another month, another coming-of-age comedy starring an actor from the Michael Cera School of Chinless Young Virgins. In this flick, the actor happens, actually, to be Michael Cera, and he's at his George Michael-y, Ceratastic best here. The virgin in this particular case in named Nick Twisp, and his virginity is the least of his problems. He has a lonely mom (Jean Smart) who dresses like she fell out of a 15-story flophouse, hitting various sales racks »
This Just In: Scandalous Bachelorette's Rep Says "There Was Not a Sexual Relationship"
• The Bachelor: Radar Online identified The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love contestant Rozlyn Papa as the scandalous bachelorette Chris Harrison told us about earlier this week, but now Papa's longtime agent says that while her client is the woman referred to in The Bachelor ads hyping a female contestant getting entangled in an "inappropriate relationship" with a crew member, Papa did not have a sexual relationship with anyone working behind the scenes on the show. "No. It's not accurate," says Stacie Vanchieri of Wilhelmina Models. "I represent Rozlyn. I have for the past eight years. There was not a sexual relationship with a crew member." But Vanchieri says her client is taking her »

He is a valued part of our late-night line-up, as he has been for more than 16 years and is one of the most respected entertainers on television. ________ Could Jay be walking back to his old digs? Glee's Lea & Cory: So Totally Not Rob & Kristen
8 hours ago
It's not quite the hysteria surrounding Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, but Glee stars Lea Michelle and Cory Monteith can't seem to shake tabloid tales of an offscreen romance. Sure, they've got awesome chemistry playing Rachel and Finn, but as Monteith told us last night at the People's Choice Awards, "All those dating rumors—they're dumb!" In fact, at least one costar thinks that's the craziest piece of Glee gossip she's heard... "We're just a big family, and it's crazy that anyone would think otherwise," Jenna Ushkowitz said. "They've never dated, they're not dating—we all have the same relationship." And »
Sorry, Charlie: Judge Demands Sheen Go to Court
8 hours ago
Charlie Sheen will have man up and face the music...as well as the gaggle of paparazzi that'll surely await him. A Colorado judge has ordered the Two and a Half Men star to appear in person at a hearing in Aspen stemming from his felony domestic violence arrest for his Christmas kerfuffle with wife Brooke Mueller. Pitkin County Chief Deputy District Attorney Arnold Mordkin says the judge rejected a petition by Team Sheen to have him phone in for the proceeding, ostensibly to avoid a media circus. Instead, the Golden Globe winner will have to park himself in court on Feb. 8 to answer allegations that he threatened his missus with a knife. Mordkin is expected to file formal charges »
Should You Watch Project Runway Season Seven?
After last season's supremely lackluster Project Runway outing, should you commit to another installment of the Lifetime reality series, or is it time to take it off your TiVo? (Perhaps it's just impossible to live up to the likes of Christian Siriano?) We've seen the premiere episode of season seven, airing this coming Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 10 p.m., and here's what we can tell you about what's hot and what's not about the latest Runway... The good news is... The show has returned to New York, thank god. The skyscraper canyons and the vibrant green allées of Central Park are the perfect exterior backdrop for the fashion series. Shooting in industrial areas of downtown Los Angeles last season »
No Jail Time for Hills Star Stephanie Pratt
13 hours ago
Pretty Hills hotties don't belong in jail. Good thing Stephanie Pratt isn't headed there, even with that whole "my heels made me do it" excuse. The MTV reality star reached a deal with the district attorney stemming from her Oct. 18 DUI arrest following sister-in-law Holly Montag's birthday bash at a Hollywood nightclub. To avoid donning an unflattering orange jumpsuit, she pleaded no contest to the reduced charge of exhibition of speeding and vowed to enroll in a three-month alcohol-treatment program and to spend eight weeks wearing those heels to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. She'll also have to manage 36 months of probation. "I'm happy about the outcome," a »
DGA Noms End Boys' Club, Spark Battle of the Exes
13 hours ago
Well, this should certainly make for some interesting seating arrangements. The Directors Guild of America today announced the nominees for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Feature Film and there was one major surprise buried in the list—namely, that the DGA's penchant for drama isn't limited to the big screen. Avatar's James Cameron, fresh off the news that his latest epic is now the No. 3 grosser of all time, scored a nomination, as did The Hurt Locker's Kathryn Bigelow, Inglourious Basterds mastermind Quentin Tarantino, Up in the Air's Jason Reitman and Precious champagne-enabler Lee Daniels, the first ever African-American to be nominated. For those unfamiliar with the »
Obama Crashing Lost Premiere? So Not Cool!
Spoiler alert! Lost's big, bad new nemesis may finally have been revealed: President Obama. We know. We didn't see that one coming, either! Our money was totally on that mysterious guy on the beach with Jacob or something. According to reports, the White House is mulling over two dates for the president's State of the Union address: Tuesday, Jan. 26 or Tuesday, Feb. 2. Jan. 26 would preempt American Idol (which will only be in its audition phase at that point, but still, that show is bigger than God). And Feb. 2 would preempt...oh, please don't make us say it out loud... The highly anticipated two-hour premiere for Lost's final season. You know that »
What Happened to Kate Gosselin's New Long Hair?!
Yesterday Kate Gosselin shocked the world (yes, the entire world) when she appeared on the cover of People with new long extensions as part of her 2010: Fresh Start, Fresh Me, Fresh Life program. But then, the same day her life-changing cover hit the Internet she was spotted out looking like 2009 Kate. Looks like we have a mystery on our hands. What happened to Kate Clean-Slate? Well, we have a few theories: A. She read all your comments and ripped those ratty extensions out in a fit of despair. (Aw, this is the sad option.) B. She kept them hidden so everyone would have to buy her People cover to see the goods. C. Kate's Google Alert on her name brought this »
Simpsons Turn 450, Don't Look a Day Over 449
14 hours ago
As if 20 years in prime time wasn't enough, television's preeminently jaundiced clan is about to hit another mind-boggling milestone. This Sunday, Fox will air "Once Upon a Time in Springfield," The Simpsons' 450th episode. As no such occasion is complete without a big-name guest star or two, Anne Hathaway will be lending her vocal talents to the episode, playing Princess Penelope, Krusty's demographic-expanding costar turned object of his multicolored affection. Elsewhere, Homer and his own coworkers try to fight the good fight after learning Mr. Burns is putting an end to the nuclear plant's free doughnuts. (Mmmm…doughnuts.) To further mark the accomplishment of the »
Thor Steals Spidey 4's Thunder...and Release Date
14 hours ago
The gods have spoken. With Spider-Man 4 tangled up in script rewrites, forcing Sony Pictures to delay shooting and all but guaranteeing it won't be ready for its target date, another superhero is stepping in to help. Marvel and Paramount are moving up the release of Thor, the would-be comic book franchise-launcher helmed by Kenneth Branagh, by two weeks, to May 6, 2011. That prompted Disney to stake out the now-open May 20 slot for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, the fourth entry in Johnny Depp's blockbuster buccaneer series, which had yet to be scheduled. Thor stars newcomer Chris Hemsworth as the Norse deity and Natalie Portman as his love interest. Of course, there's a »
Anna Kendrick Starts a War Between Rob Pattinson & George Clooney
15 hours ago
Golden Globe nominee and Bella Swan bestie Anna Kendrick was lucky enough to work with both George Clooney and Robert Pattinson last year. In fact, "What was it like to work with Clooney and Pattz?! Ahhhh!" will probably be the question she's asked most this awards season. And that's cool, especially when she has great stories like the one she told on Ellen DeGeneres' show. In an interview airing January 8, Anna goes on about how jealous George was of Rob. "George gave me such a hard time about shooting Twilight. Whenever I came back, it was like, 'Oh, sorry, this isn't the Twilight set. You're not working with Mr. Handsome.' He called Rob 'Mr. »
Unobtanium? As If! Avatar Now Third-Highest-Grossing Film Ever
16 hours ago
We guess money really does grow on trees. James Cameron's Avatar has become the third-biggest grossing film of all time, with a worldwide haul of more than $1.1 billion. It sailed past the $1.07 billion plundered by Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Most of Avatar's coin has actually come from overseas, raking in $731.2 million internationally compared to $367.5 million domestically. The sci-fi epic is now on track to dethrone The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, which tallied $1.12 billion in global ticket sales, as soon as next week. While Avatar will likely fall short of Titanic's record $1.84 billion, Cameron can take solace in having the top »
Classy as Ever Balloon Boy Dad Denies Hoax, Scapegoats Wife
16 hours ago
And we're back to this. Just when you thought the book had finally, mercifully been closed on the Heene family, none other than Balloon Dad is back in our face, denying that his infamous hoax was a hoax at all. In other words: It's a bird! It's a plane! It's his last vestige of credibility flying away! In an interview with Larry King set to air Friday, erstwhile fame-seeker Richard Heene insisted that he truly believed 6-year-old son Falcon was inside the runaway homemade craft and not simply biding his time in the family's attic, awaiting the chance to spew and spill on his dad's misdeeds. "We had searched the house, high and low," Heene said. "I knew he was in »
Twilight, Johnny Depp and Tay-Squared Are the People's Choice
6 January 2010 10:30 PM, PST
The most shocking thing about Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards? Well, not much, but that's what makes this show fan-tastic, with top props going to Twilight, True Blood, Johnny Depp and Tay-Squared—Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner. Depp received the Actor of the Decade nod, and was nearly overshadowed by presenter Sasha Baron Cohen. Before Depp came out to accept with a short, gracious speech, Cohen thanked the performer for roles such as Willy Wonka, which made it Ok for "creepy middle-aged men to approach children and offer them candy." Despite a reported parting, Taylors Swift and Lautner displayed precocious professionalism, accepting their respective »

That's where the blindsides ended—we'd already correctly guessed all 20 Castaways. That doesn't mean we didn't scream when we saw that Red Sox cap and caught soundbites from both the shoe thief and the sock burner. (These Castaways had best tread lightly.) Read on for the scoop on fallen comrades and Sole Survivors from seasons past... Heroes Tribe Amanda Kimmel, China and Micronesia: Fans vs. Favorites Heroism: The two-time runner-up [placing third in China and losing 5-3 to Parvati in Micronesia], she »
No More Talent for David Hasselhoff

The Hoff is taking off. After four seasons on America's Got Talent, David Hasselhoff is leaving the judges table, his rep confirms to E! News. "I am proud that I was part of making America's Got Talent, the No. 1 rated show for the past four summers," Hasselhoff told People. "It's been a rewarding experience and now I'm thrilled to be able to follow my dream to do my own TV show, which will be announced very shortly."
