Early on in the great new season of Stranger Things, there's a moment that sums up the geek heart of the story. Eighties small-town misfit kid Will Byers sits alone in his room, sketching his comic-book superhero alter ego, Zombie Boy. His older brother, Jonathan, comes in for a talk about why they're different from other people. "Being a freak is the best, all right?" he explains. Matt Damon didn't mince words when he called Harvey Weinstein an "asshole" and a "womanizer" during an interview with Good Morning America Monday.

The actor also revealed that he knew about Gwyneth Paltrow's allegations of sexual harassment against the movie mogul for years, long before Paltrow came forward earlier this month.

And yet just about everything that happened in the hour leading up to that little tip o' the cap to the master was a reminder of how much this show has moved beyond Romero. What started as a epic riff on the Dead movies has become … well, »

The answers may lie behind the scenes. This episode was directed by co-star James Franco, who previously helmed one of the series' better installments. Judging from his two turns in the driver's seat, he's got a knack for »
