Union will star as Syd Burnett, her character from “Bad Boys 2.” In the show, she has left the DEA and now has a fresh start in her new job as an LAPD detective. She’s partnered with Nancy McKenna, a working mom who can’t help but look at Syd’s freedom with some grass-is-greener envy. These two have totally different lifestyles and approaches, but they both are at the top of their fields. Union will also executive produce in addition to starring.
The project had received a pilot production commitment at the network in October.

Wyngarde died in a West London hospital, his agent Thomas Bowington told Variety.
“Peter Wyngarde passed away peacefully in his sleep early evening Monday at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital,” Bowington said, adding that Wyngarde was “one of the most original and truly great actors I’ve ever seen and by far the most exceptional man I have ever met.”
Wyngarde had a long career on stage and screen but is best known as handlebar-mustachioed investigator King. He also appeared in classic series including “The Avengers,” “The Saint,” and “The Prisoner.”
The King character was an author and investigator in “Department S,” and in 1971 was given his own series, “Jason King.” The show was canceled in 1972, but Wyngarde continued to appear on stage and screen in Britain and internationally.

Banshee alum Antony Starr leads a quintet of cast additions to the straight-to-series drama created by Eric Kripke (Supernatural, Timeless), according to our sister site Deadline. Starr will play Homelander, the leader of the show’s primary superhero collective known as The Seven. But he’s not necessarily the hero here: Based on the comic by Garth Ennis (Preacher) and Darick Robertson (Happy!), The Boys is set in a world where superheroes have let fame go to their heads and gotten corrupt

Farrow, 32, recounted her story of being touched by Allen, her adoptive father, in August 1992. She also said she experienced other incidents of inappropriate behavior with her father, including him asking her to come into bed with him when he was wearing only underwear. Allen has once again strongly denied the allegations.
Farrow said she decided to give her first TV interview on the alleged assault that occurred when she was 7 because of the groundswell of public support for victims of sexual harassment and abuse. She has called on actors to shun Allen and his films.
“It was very momentous for me to see this conversation finally carried into a public setting,” Farrow said of the Time’s Up and #MeToo movements. “Because I have
Hit by the disappointing performance of last year’s “Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets,” EuropaCorp has directed its primary lender, JP Morgan, to find someone who can inject equity capital into the company, as well restructure and pay a portion of its debt. Several well-informed sources tell Variety that the company urgently needs to find a solid partner by March 30, which marks the end of its financial year. The company’s market capitalization fell to €57.4 million ($70.2 million) as of Thursday, while losses reached €119.9 million ($146.8 million) and its net debt skyrocketed to €230 million ($281.6 million) as of September.
JP Morgan currently holds EuropaCorp’s assets, including its valuable
In the new show, the infamous Heathers are no longer a group of barely indistinguishable preppies, but a diverse crew whose popularity flummoxes some of their older teachers. But even with their new looks, Heather Chandler (Melanie Field), Heather Duke (Brendan Scannell) and Heather McNamara (Jasmine Matthews) remain vain and cruel enough to drive
Sony’s family comedy “Peter Rabbit” is tracking for a launch that weekend in the $18 million range and Warner Bros.’ Clint Eastwood thriller “15:17 to Paris” should arrive with about $10 million.
The projected “Fifty Shades Freed” launch isn’t as strong as its predecessors “Fifty Shades of Grey,” which opened with $85.2 million in 2015, and “Fifty Shades Darker,” which opened with $46.6 million on the same weekend last year. The two films, co-starring Dakota Johnson as Anastasia Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, have combined to gross $950 million worldwide.

After learning that someone on his team became a witness in the case to prove he is the Green Arrow, Oliver (Stephen Amell) grew suspicious of his newest team members — Dinah (Juliana Harkavy), Curtis (Echo Kellum), and Rene (Rick Gonzalez). After wrongly accusing Dinah of betraying him it was revealed that it was actually Rene who had flipped on Oliver after there were threats to take his daughter away.
Tensions rose, trust was lost, and when the team learned Oliver had begun spying on the three of them, Dinah, Curtis, and Rene walked out on the team.
“It was a begrudging decision for him to come to,” Kellum tells Variety. “They’ve been the closest thing he’s had to a family since his divorce, and he doesn
