Several writers have resigned from the influential movie site Ain't It Cool News (AICN) after a woman came forward to accuse that site's 45-year-old founder, Harry Knowles, of having sexually assaulted her nearly two decades ago.

In a statement posted Monday to Twitter, Steve Prokopy, a Chicago-based writer who signs his reviews "Capone," called the choice to leave the site "a remarkably easy decision to make."

"I sincerely hope that the women impacted by any of these incidents have received all the support and strength they need to recover and heal," Prokopy said.

TV Review: ‘Young Sheldon’ on CBS

8 hours ago | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Young Sheldon” is earnestly trying to do two things at once: function as a mainstream family comedy, and fit into the realm of single-camera half hours, which tend to be a bit more character-driven than most shows on CBS. “Young Sheldon,” which depicts “The Big Bang Theory’s” Sheldon Cooper as a precocious 9-year-old in East Texas, doesn’t quite gel in either arena in its initial outing. But the premise and a few performances are interesting enough to give the show some time to find its way.

Without question it was the right decision to avoid the multi-camera format with this project. The Sheldon that TV audiences have come to know over the course of 10 seasons of “The Big Bang Theory” can be a difficult person (which is partly the hook of both shows). Despite the fine work of Jim Parsons as the adult Sheldon, the physicist — given his genius Iq and his unwillingness to conform »

The Fuller House Babies Are Making Some Nice Money

Is anyone else groaning at how much a pair of little kids are making for their Fuller House appearances? The Messitt twins, Dashiell and Fox, are making almost $10,000 per episode. To date they’ve made almost a quarter million just off of being cute. Now some people might think that being an adorable little kid and having the kind of pincher cheeks that drive mothers and grandmothers wild would be worth something, but $10 grand an episode? It might sound like petulance to say that a child doesn’t need to be earning this much when they’re not even old enough

‘Lethal Weapon,’ ‘Ballers,’ and Why You Should Make Time for Guilty Pleasure TV in a Peak TV Era

The term “guilty pleasure” has taken on a whole new meaning in the peak TV era. While some may still use it for “shameful” shows they avoid bringing up on a first date, it can also apply to just about anything not widely considered to be the best.

For instance, if you’re choosing to watch “Ballers” instead of “The Deuce,” you might feel guilty about that; or if you start the next “Lethal Weapon” season even though you still haven’t tried out “The Handmaid’s Tale”; or if you scroll through Netflix, mindlessly seeking out a new show, even though you know “Better Things” — a show promising better things right there in the title — is sitting, waiting, on your DVR.
