  • Revealing mistakes: When Barbarella is flying around in her spaceship in the opening credits, in a close-up as she removes her gloves you can see her reflection in the Plexiglas in which she was lying, on to give the illusion she was floating about.

  • Continuity: After Barabarella faints from being attacked by the "tooth dolls," several wounds on her legs and arms are visible. When she gets into the iceboat immediately after being rescued, the wounds have disappeared.

  • Revealing mistakes: When Barabarella and Pygar are being attacked by the leather guards in the labyrinth, Barbarella tells Pygar to shoot her gun. "To the right!" she calls out. Pygar, however, swivels left and shoots, hitting the guard dead on. Since Pygar is blind, he had only her instructions to go on.

  • Continuity: Right in the beginning, Barbarella is in an anti-gravity state. However, her hair is still falling down toward the ground.

  • Continuity: When Barbarella first has to go down for a crash landing, she puts her right arm up to her head. However in the next shot her left arm is up to her head.

  • Continuity: There is an inconsistency in the manner in which Barbarella and the President salute each other. When the Earth President greets Barbarella, he raises his left hand palm outward. Barbarella responds with her right hand palm outward. When the President farewells her, he does so with his right hand palm outward, and Barbarella responds with her right hand palm outward as well.

  • Revealing mistakes: Although Pygar claims that the Great Tyrant put out his eyes, they are in fact clearly visible; he wore a blindfold over them in the original comic.
