Did You Know?
During the 2016 Presidential election, candidate Donald Trump stated that he would love for Alec Baldwin to play him, and Baldwin stated that he would love to play the role. Once Trump received the Republican nomination, and the general election began, Baldwin did get cast in the role, and continued the character into Trump's actual Presidency as well. However, Trump later stated that he was offended by Baldwin's portrayal, stating that he "stinks", and that the entire show was "boring and unfunny", despite the fact that he had hosted less than a year earlier. He claimed that Baldwin portrayed him as "mean and nasty", which was inaccurate to his real personality. See more
