Eddie Murphy movie The Adventures Of Pluto Nash has topped a new industry poll of the film flops of the new century.
The 2002 film, which cost $100 million (£62.5 million) to make and recouped less than 10 per cent at the box office, edged out John Travolta's critically-panned Battlefield Earth in the new Hollywood Reporter list of shame.
Also making the top 10 flops are Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse, Catwoman starring Halle Berry, Gigli and summer film Land of the Lost. »

But for now, he's a certified bachelor, chatting with MTV News about Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Megan Fox.

50 Cent gets very domesticated in his video for "Baby by Me." He has a wife (played by Kelly Rowland) and the three kids (triplet boys), and he flips burgers on the grill after a hard day at work.
Fif said the role wasn't too much of a stretch.
"I would actually yell at Kelly," Fif laughed. "I'd be like, 'You don't do nothing right. I told you to have one baby and you had three! You don't do nothing right!' "
Getting more serious, 50 said he seriously thinks about settling down.
"I think it could happen," he said. "You know, it has to be at the right time. I mean, you see Em make a decision to go home. »

Hot on the heels of the (now debunked) Rachel McAdams rumor, Ugo has learned that Julia Stiles has met with a casting company in New York to discuss "Spider-Man 4." Although no specifics have been learned as to what role Stiles is circling, everyone of course assumes it will be Black Cat. Well, if that is the villain Raimi is indeed pursuing for this chapter, I must say I am against it. She's too similar to Catwoman for one thing. I mean, a cat burglar who has a forbidden sexual attraction with a costumed superhero? It's gonna seem like a rip off, no matter which feline villainess was around first, because Catwoman is definitely the more well known character (ignoring the Halle Berry fiasco, of course). Also, what we don't need in "Spidey 4" is yet another love triangle, which wasn't very well received in "Spidey 3."Speaking of, I shall now throw »

It is learnt that it used to take three to four hours daily for Amitabh Bachchan’s makeup to be done for his film Paa. The prosthetic makeup as we know has been done by Hollywood’s Christien Tinsley (The Passion Of The Christ, Catwoman and other films) and Dominie Till (The Lord Of The Rings trilogy).
Our sources reveal, “On one occasion, when the film was being shot in Delhi, Bachchan had to report for his makeup at 2 o’clock in the morning for a 6 o’clock shift. What’s worth noting is that the superstar landed in Delhi the previous evening and had to attend a dinner party at. »

An accomplished stunt performer whose journey to Kill Bill was chronicled as the subject of the excellent documentary Double Dare, Zoe Bell has become a fixture in genre fare not only for her impressive stunt skills - but also her acting chops.
After a leading role in the Grindhouse installment Death Proof, Bell's recent work includes Bitch Slap (screening at our Trinity Of Terrors this weekend), a starring turn in Angel Of Death, and the most recent Tarantino effort Inglourious Basterds. Jason Anders recently sat down with bell for a discussion about her craft.
Ja: Let's start off with talking about the film Death Proof, and your initial reaction to the script by Quentin Tarantino which had you playing yourself. You originally thought this was a joke, right? Zb: Well no, I didn't think the movie was a joke. He was on his way over to my house with the script, »

I grew up loving all things Superman, but even as a lad of 13 I could tell that the villain in Superman IV -- Nuclear Man, created when Supes threw all the world's nuclear weapons into the sun -- was dumb. He had no personality. He didn't even have a name. "Nuclear Man" is what the closing credits called him, but no one in the film ever calls him anything. Rule No. 1 of being a supervillain: You must have a name. I cannot imagine any exceptions to that rule.
So Nuclear Man is probably my vote for the lamest villain in a superhero movie, but it's hardly a slam-dunk. He has a lot of competition. Arnold Schwarzenegger's campy Mr. Freeze in Batman & Robin is legendary. At the opposite end of the muscles scale, there's whiny Venom (Topher Grace) in Spider-Man 3 and emo-goth Blackheart (Wes Bentley) in Ghost Rider. And »

This just in! Charlize Theron wouldn’t mind playing Catwoman in the sequel to the second highest grossing film of all time, The Dark Knight. Well that entire last sentence would qualify for a big, fat “Duh!” Can you tell me one person that wouldn’t say “Yes” to star in a billion dollar franchise if asked? Megan Fox was recently rumored to be playing the feminine milk-drinking feline villain a few weeks ago but Warner Bros. execs were quick to shoot that down. It’s not a direct quote but I think the press release said something like, “Um, Hell No!”
During an Stv interview that probably only consisted of some guy with a mini-voice recorder stalking her as she shopped for groceries, Theron said this:
“It’s news to me, but that’s kick-ass news. I like that… I think that what has happened to that franchise is amazing, »

The sci-fi–murder mystery hybrid Surrogates takes an intriguing idea — a future where people only interact through robot proxies — and kills it deader than its murderer’s brain-melted victims. This film from Jonathan Mostow (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines) melds bits of I, Robot, The Matrix, and Minority Report, but it excises all the intelligence and style of its predecessors in the mind-numbing process.
Surrogates begins with a lazy look back at its futuristic world’s history, beginning with the invention of surrogates by Canter (James Cromwell). Fast forward 13 years, and the technology created to help people in wheelchairs has now been adopted by 98% of the world’s population (apparently even the starving live their lives through a surrogate…). People rarely leave their homes, instead sending the surrogates out to work and play. While their real bodies molder in specially equipped easy chairs, they feel every sensation that their surrogates experience, »

It's been a great year for science fiction. From the fantastic reboot of Star Trek to the thoughtful District 9, can Surrogates rise from the questionable ether of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines director Jonathan Mostow and Catwoman scribes John Brancato and Michael Ferris? The answer is, without a doubt, a very confident "kinda."
In the not too distance future, most of earth's population will fold laundry, drop off the kids and do the horizontal jiggy through remote-controlled robots called surrogates. Humanoid in its appearance, the technology allows their human operators the safety and relaxation of knowing that they're protected within the confines of their home while their better-looking extensions are taking care of business. Whatever business that is, is practically up to the operator.
Violent crime, class and race issues have been erased from daily lives along with other annoyances such as looking ugly and dealing with blemishes. »

Surrogates Directed by: Jonathan Mostow Written by: Michael Ferris and John Brancato (screenplay), Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele (graphic novel) Starring: Bruce Willis, Radha Mitchell, James Cromwell, Rosamund Pike, Ving Rhames, Boris Kodjoe It's been a pretty solid year for science-fiction films thus far, with movies like Moon, District 9 and Watchmen all raising the bar for thoughtful futuristic tales on the big screen in one way or another. While this is great news for moviegoers, it's unfortunate for a filmmaker who is trying to put together a big budget action/sci-fi flick later in the year that has any hope of measuring up. Case in point: Surrogates director Jonathan Mostow, who finds himself faced with the unenviable task of following all of the aforementioned films, in addition to a whole summer's worth of massive special effects blockbusters. On the one hand, he has the advantage of Mr. Bruce Willis in the lead role, »

That Michael Caine is such a rascal. Earlier this month, the English thespian claimed he read somewhere that Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman are being considered as the Riddler and the Penguin, respectively, in the next Batman movie. Now in an interview with MTV.com, Caine does a 180-degree turn.
"There is nobody, there's no script, there's nothing," Caine said about the follow-up to The Dark Knight. He added that it could not possibly be made prior to 2011 because Inception, the next project from Batman Begins and Dark Knight director Christopher Nolan, is "such a big picture."
The actor, currently promoting his upcoming thriller Harry Brown, played Batman/Bruce Wayne’s butler and confidant Alfred Pennyworth in both revamped Batman movies. Although Caine remains very interested in where the franchise goes next, ever since he spoke out about Depp and Hoffman’s possible involvement, he’s been effectively cut off. »

Though Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry have admitted they want to have another child in addition to their daughter Nahla Ariela Aubry, the couple apparently will not welcome new member in their family any time soon. Hitting the set of "The Jay Leno Show" on Thursday, September 17, the actress has debunked the pregnancy rumor by wearing a skintight dress.
According to sources at the studio, Halle, who wore a low-cut, short black dress and black thigh-high boots, wowed Jay Leno with her sexy look. The talk show's host then complimented her, which was then replied by the "Catwoman" star, saying "You know, thank you for that, Jay, because that must mean that pregnancy rumors can be put to bed!"
Moreover, Halle confessed she was kind of worry about her shape because the pregnancy rumor could hint that she looked curvier. "I was getting a complex! Because I was like, I've »

While Marvel steams ahead with a masterplan of comic book film projects - now backed by the might of Disney - Warner Bros has not enjoyed the same success with its DC Comics titles.
Studio bosses have fumbled and faltered in attempts to get DC's costumed crusaders such as Flash and Wonder Woman on to the big screen.
All that could at last begin to change. It was today announced that DC Comics is to be reorganised into a new company called DC Entertainment (Dce) within the Warner film division, with the aim of more dynamically adapting its comic characters into films, TV, video games and other products.
In July last year, I reported that Warner and DC were thrashing out a game plan for superhero movies and as far back in 2003 had wanted to create a new post to oversee film adaptations.
It seems finally to be happening, and »

By choice or not, Halle Berry has stayed on the outskirts of Hollywood's radar in the last few years, appearing in just two relatively low-profile films, with a third indie still awaiting release. The folks behind the "Twilight" franchise, conversely, are at the epicenter of the pop culture zeitgeist.
Variety is reporting that the thriller "Dark Tide" will have Berry and two "Twilight" producers, Marty Bowen and Wyck Godfrey, joining forces. Nothing's set yet — the Oscar-winner is still in those mysterious "advance talks" — but if everything works out, Berry will sign on to play a diving instructor who suffers a near-fatal accident with a great white shark and then decides — screw it! — to head back to the ocean.
The script comes from newbie Amy Sorlie, a screenwriter and journalist who — if her Twitter account is an accurate representation — is a committed beach bum based in Los Angeles. Clark Johnson, a »
