In the plethora of soap operas/telenovela/sinenovela etc. that is currently infecting Philippine TV, `kay tagal kang hinintay' stands as one with a good story premise: a good natured lady while searching for her long lost son gets caught in the baneful realm of the underworld. However, its good storyline and better cast of actors are wasted on mediocrity of execution and unfeasibility of circumstances. The lead character played by Lorna Tolentino is the epitome of the mediocre soap heroine: tragic, brave, and tragic all the way.

Bing Loyzaga, on the other hand, plays an all too evil character that characterizes hopelessness. It seemed that she tried too hard to be wretched and vile, it appeared that she is the very personification of Satan on Earth. She does not have a concrete driving force. She's just evil and that's it.

The show should make major re-arrangements in terms of scriptwriting. The terrible dialogue puts the talents of the actors to waste. The creators of the show should make them do something worth their pay. Try harder please.
