With a line like "mmmm…muffins" how can you go wrong? (P.S. the muffins looked delicious!) Skinwalkers is a cool little film that follows the story of two battling werewolf tribes. One is completely taken by the call of the wild and releasing the beast inside all of us, and one suppresses the beast and tries to live as normal humans. It is just another twist on good and evil. All beasts being seen as evil, of course. There is some decent acting and there are a couple of good actions scenes. I thought that the werewolf costumes were good. I especially liked the eyes, they made them look very creepy and ferocious. The used a bird to sort of guide you through the film which normally I would think would be lame, but it kind of worked for this. I found this movie to be entertaining, there were definitely a couple of silly lines, but I think it was an alright movie in general. One of the things that I liked the most was that there were some complex relationships within the tribes, though I wish they would have been a little more developed. I think it added a layer to the film that I wasn't really expecting. I would recommend Skinwalkers. It's fun and entertaining, and if you have a family you can take the youngsters since it's PG-13 which I think is nice because with so many R movies coming out kids having nothing to watch accept for cartoon movies.
