Click Here to read Nick Allen’s review of Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire
But before we get to interviews with them plus the author Sapphire and the film’s cast Mo’ Nique, Gabourey Sidibe and Mariah Carey, let’s talk about this title.
Ok, I get it. You couldn’t call the movie Push, because that title was just used earlier this year in the sci-fi flick starring Dakota Fanning and Chris Evans.
But what’s wrong with calling it Precious and leaving it at that? With the marketing blitz this film is sure to get (from Oprah alone), how many people will only read a title, and strictly base whether they will see »

To most Twilight fans, Summit Entertainment is the production and distribution company responsible for Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and Robert Pattinson's Remember Me. You might also know them for their presentation of Dakota Fanning's Push and the New Moon trailer-previewed Bandslam. To the film community (particularly the international film community), though, they are a surprising case study in international prowess. A recent Variety article took a look at the success that Summit Entertainment has enjoyed abroad. While many in the industry have lamented the sorry state of foreign sales, Summit has been consistently selling everything on its slate. At Cannes, the company did brisk pre-sale business on films ranging from "Fair Game" (a thriller starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts) to Roman Polanski's "The Ghost," animated pic "Astro Boy" and "Twilight" sequel "New Moon." .... It’s a slow week for movie releases, with Fantastic Mr. Fox the only release of note in the UK, along with Cirque Du Freak. Most of the remaining big films this year are due out in November and December.
So, with the big winter films already hyped to the max, and with Iron Man 2, Clash of the Titans and Robin Hood being the highly anticipated movies this Spring, I thought i’d take a look at some Spring movies that maybe aren’t getting the attention they deserve – The Losers, Green Zone, A Couple of Dicks, Machete and Kick-Ass. Note, this is a list of the films i’m personally looking forward to, so you won’t necessarily agree with me…
When is it? – 9th April.
Where is it? – Currently filming in Puerto Rico
Who is it? – Directed by Sylvain White, starring Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Chris Evans, »

Thanks to LastAirbenderFilm, we now have a look at the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, which features a photos from the set of “The Last Airbender“
M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming movie is based on the hit Nickelodeon cartoon series “Avatar: The Last Airbender.” “Avatar” is being dropped from the title in favor of just “The Last Airbender” so as to avoid the confusion with James Cameron’s movie “Avatar.”
The film is set in a fantasy world where the four elements of earth, air, water, and fire can be controlled through martial arts called bending, and the ruthless flame-manipulating Fire Nation is waging war to control the other nations of the world.
At the same time a young boy named Aang, the last surviving wind manipulator or Airbender and is also the Avatar, the physical incarnation of the world itself who possesses the ability to manipulate all four elements, »

Twilight News with Dakota Fanning Dakota Fanning, star of The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, is all over the mainstream world again (not like she ever left) appearing in 3 films with Kristen Stewart, including The Runaways, and also hit the scene this year with Push and Coraline. But now she's hitting the independent and/or underground scene. And she probably doesn't even know it. A film she starred in back in 2001, a short, called Father Xmas, is getting a theatrical release next week, with the very controversial sounding Warning!!! Pedophile Released. Dakota's film is preceding the Shane Ryan film, an underground filmmaker who has made four films called Amateur Porn Star Killer. Dakota Fanning's IMDb message boards saw a few mentions of this, though the film hadn't been... »
