Johnny Depp Replacing Sam Worthington In ‘The Tourist?’

5 November 2009 7:38 AM, PST | ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news »

When does the movie business ever go as planned? Rarely, it seems, as evidenced by the change-ups with the upcoming thriller The Tourist, the remake of the 2005 French film, Anthony Zimmer.

We recently reported that Angelina Jolie had replaced Charlize Theron in the movie, with Jolie joining the already-cast Sam Worthington (who originally replaced Tom Cruise). Then a week later came news that after previously attached director Bharat Nalluri had stepped away from the project, The Lives of Other director Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck was being eyed to helm the film instead.

All seemed to be in place and The Tourist was set for an early 2010 shooting start. However, although the latter is still true, there appears to Still be major change-ups happening, as not only is yet another new director being looked at to now replace Donnersmarck, but Worthington may be getting replaced by Johnny Depp!

Clash of the Titans Character Posters

3 November 2009 9:31 PM, PST | newsinfilm.com | See recent newsinfilm news »

Nine character posters have leaked online for Clash of the Titans, the modern, mythological remake from director Louis Leterrier.  They feature Sam Worthington as Perseus, Liam Neeson as Zeus, Gemma Arterton as Io, and Ralph Fiennes as Hades.  Plus a glimpse of Medusa and the Kraken to go with the earlier remake pictures.

8 of them come from AICN and the last from HitFix.  They’re not the best quality because they’re grainy, tilted pictures of the posters and not the official images direct from the studio.  I tried to clean them up the best I could, but if you want the full-sized version be sure to click over to those sites.  Hopefully Warner Bros will release high-resolution shots soon because these posters look great.

Clash of the Titans will be in theaters March 26, 2010.

Whoa! These came out of nowhere today. Seems like Warner Brothers is preparing to unleash the first of their marketing for Clash of the Titans by the end of the year. Ain't It Cool News just got their hands on eight new character posters and teaser posters for Louis Leterrier's Clash of the Titans remake (there's also another one on HitFix). We've heard a lot about this remake, even seen a few photos, but we haven't seen anything like these posters and I've got to say, being a huge fan of original, that they really kick ass. I'm very excited for this, I love the style and intensity, I love everything about it. Definitely check these out below! All posters have been removed at the request of Warner Brothers. Sorry guys, you can see them all again when they're officially released! My personal favorite is the one on the top row, »

Over at Ain't It Cool, Harry just put up eight poster designs for "Clash Of The Titans," and all eight of them are fairly awesome.  We've got one of our own, rounding out the set of nine, and if we've only got one, at least the one we've got is badass. I know several sites went to the set of "Clash Of The Titans," and I wish I'd been able to work it out to go... I'm really curious to see what Louis Leterrier is up to, and what I've heard from people close to the film is very promising.  It... »

Get Excited: Grainy Pictures of the ‘Clash of the Titans’ Posters

3 November 2009 5:22 PM, PST | FilmSchoolRejects.com | See recent FilmSchoolRejects news »

While I continue my one-man boycott of anything that doesn't have Bubo, the rest of the civilized world is somehow simultaneously refreshing the Butt-Numb-a-Thon list to see if it's finally posted and drooling over these new posters for Clash of the Titans. I don't really know if anyone is drooling, but I have to assume that it's the third most popular activity on the internet behind tugging it to that scene of Katie Holmes in The Gift and surfing 1-800-Flowers.com for a thoughtful present for your mother's birthday. Since they are spy shots of some in-progress posters, according to Aint It Cool, they aren't high quality, but they give an idea of how cool these posters will end up looking. That style, that bronze and ancient blood style of a heightened drama, really works here. Or, at least, it looks like it will work if the posters get close to looking like this. Here's »

He might be firing up big time overseas with leading roles in mega-budgeted films like Terminator Salvation, the highly anticipated Avatar and the upcoming Clash Of The Titans remake, but Sam Worthington obviously still has a hearty interest in the local film industry.
