Childhood Fav Remains Unspoiled, 23 November 2009

Whether it be an 81 classic or modern interpretation, Hollywood will not let down fans of such an epic tale. I always loved the 1981 Clash of the Titans, mostly because the stop motion animation looked so intriguing, plus Pegasus won my heart. However, I've seen many comments argue against the modern endeavor, which simply aims to re-interpret a beloved tale. The new technology doesn't mind me, I adore the movies that seek to bring something new and fresh to movie making. After all, the Hollywood films are not meant to be historically accurate. Thus I see it pointless to fight what colour, what graphics are being displayed, when it is a film.
Movies like 300 which was based on the novels by the graphic artist Frank Miller were never intended to be factual. Movies, like a novel or tale are a creative response to inspire and entertain. I think people miss this point a lot and forget to enjoy what amazing technology and sites we now have. Even though a new movie may not compare, it is unwise to judge a film not intending to be 100% accurate in the first place.
So before you bad mouth a film, remember its aims and try to have fun. So much money is spent on these films to simply wow us, just like the original did for viewers from young to old. I can tell from few sources the "look" is already emerging as a great one in my opinion.
