Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Violence & Gore

WARNING: POSSIBLE SPOILERS

Vatican property is destroyed; precious historical documents are stolen by the "good guys".

There is a lot of disturbing violence in this film, including, but not limited to:

You see a severed eyeball on the ground. Later in this scene, you briefly see the body it came from, with a bloody eye-socket.

A person is seen bleeding from gunshot wounds, and a person attempts to perform CPR on the person, and blood sprays onto a bystanders face, revealing that the victim's lungs were pierced. This is probably the most bloody scene

Two people burn to death on screen.

A person is found dead from choking on dirt. Rats are chewing on his face.

The body of the recently deceased pope is excavated and inspected. The sight of the corpse may disturb viewers. Or not.

A man almost drowns.

Many people are shot to death on screen.

Peoples chests are branded.

A car is blown up when the engine is turned on, killing the man inside.

Blood is seen throughout the film.

A man's throat is slit.

Profanity

'bastard' and 'hell' mostly. Many religious profanities as well, along with some dialogue that may be considered blasphemous.

Several clergymen are seen smoking before entering the Vatican.

One man is seen smoking after someone has bought him a pack of smokes.

A man uses sedatives to treat a bullet wound on himself.

Most of the scenes listed in 'Violence and Gore' could be considered frightening.

The scene where the cardinal is burned on the cross is rather disturbing

The whole film is tense.

There is a constant threat of executions of people and the detonation of an explosive device.

Near the end of the movie, an antimatter annihilation reaction occurs in the air, causing a violent shockwave that hurdles several people around. This may be experienced as an intense scene.

There are a couple of scenes where people burn to death, the first may be disturbing to some more sensitive veiwers.
