Goren is on the outs because of the stunt he pulled in the 6th season finale, where he unofficially went undercover in a nut house. Now he sits, unshaven and rumpled more than usual, in a local dive and hooks up with a disgraced cop, Mike Stoat. They go to work for a very bad man. Of course, Goren really is undercover as a way to win back his badge. Problem is, no one told Eames. Meanwhile, three bodies turn up, two of them British tourists just off the boat. I have never been a great admirer of this series, and it is painful to watch D'Onofrio as he has gained excessive weight and appears as if he is ready to have a heart attack. The gal who plays Eames, Kate Erbe, whom we best remember from that Kevin Bacon ghost flick, steals the show. Her character has really grown over the years.
