Sex & Nudity

Beth is shown lying in bed topless. No nudity is shown, but sex is implied

In a deleted scene Rob's friend talks about hentai (Japanese cartoon porn).

In a deleted scene a girl calls another one a "whore" after she tells Rob to "fly her out sometime"

After Hud tells Marlena about Rob and Beth having sex, Marlena exclaims that it must have been a "going-away present"

Hud tells multiple people at the party about Rob and Beth having sex.

Violence & Gore

Despite its PG-13 rating, this movie contains some strong violence and gore.

First 20 minutes are calm. Rest of movie is has scenes of violence and lots of destruction.

A scene where a person "explodes" with blood and guts (shown behind a curtain).

A character is bitten and carried up by the monster, but the scene is very distorted and only a glimpse of his disembodied lower half hanging form the monster's teeth is seen.

Characters are attacked by creatures which jump and slash on and at them with some blood and bloody wounds and cuts sometimes seen.

A girl has a metal bar impaled through her body. Blood is shown. She is lifted off the bar off-screen, but you hear her screams and some graphic sound effects.

A dead man is shown with a bloody and hollowed out abdomen.

Profanity

1 douche-bag

3 hells

1 ***damn

sh*t is used throughout

"Oh God" and "Oh my god" is also used throughout

There is a party scene where alcohol is shown throughout. It is consumed by almost everyone.

Marlena mentions how she was frequently drunk in the past.

Movie is extremely frightening and intense.

Small creatures drop from the monster that attack and bite people. The bites cause harmful effects to humans. Their appearance and movement may be extremely unsettling to some viewers.

The whole movie is photographed on a home movie camera. The camera is very shaky (especially at action scenes). That may cause motion sickness.

Scene which shows a helicopter view of the monster under attack can look frighteningly realistic to some.

The initial attack is quite intense, shocking since it comes without warning to the viewer (or the characters).
