Trivia

In Season 1; Episode 7 (Blood Diamond), Pennsatucky confronts Piper about wanting new teeth. She mentions her cousin receiving a set of teeth while serving 15 years at Lexington. The Bureau of Prisons operates Federal Medical Center-Lexington, located in Kentucky. See more »

Goofs

The timeline of the show often changes; the first season indicates being set in 2010 (upon entering prison, Piper begs Larry to not watch the latest Mad Men without her, and Larry is shown the latest episode from season 4, which originally aired in 2010). However, season 5 references the San Bernarndino shootings, which occurred in 2015. This cannot be possible as Piper's prison sentence was for 15 months and only about a year has passed in those five seasons. See more »

Big Boo: Ooh. She got the Mother's Day blues!

Big Boo: Jesus, you look like the Angel of Death. I get that a lot.
Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett: [about aborting her babies] Yeah, I'm goin' to hell. I know it. I mean, even though I was saved and everything, I just- they never even had a chance, you know?
Big Boo: Son, you gotta let go of that shit.
Tiffany 'Pennsatucky' Doggett: It's easy for you to say. I'm guessing you ain't ...

Hilarious and dark.
13 July 2013 | by (Manchester) – See all my reviews

This show is a seriously funny drama.

If you like 'Weeds', 'Breaking Bad' or prefer your humour on the darker side, then give it a go... you will not be disappointed.

Very few people create characters like Jenji Kohan... and it is the characters that make this show. Like 'Weeds', 'Orange' is fresh and original, and like 'Weeds' the lead character is tragically flawed and hilariously funny.

Well done to Netflix on their latest production... 'Hemlock Grove' is just weird, 'House of Cards' was hit and miss... but it looks like the third time is a charm. Bravo.

(FYI: humour is how we Brits spell humor). :-)
