Lighthearted and fun for the holiday season
14 December 2017 | by See all my reviews

I like the main players in this movie and it was a refreshing change from the heavy, gloomy movies and news coverage. Is it their best acting? Probably not. Was it supposed to be? I don't think so. It was an opportunity for them to get together and have fun creating something that would make us laugh. If you need or want a little bit of joy and laughter ... go see this movie. If you're looking for serious, academy award winning performances, you'll want to pass. I typically only go to action or adventure movies ... this was a change of pace and it didn't disappoint in that regard. I'd go see it again, and I'll likely watch it several times when it makes it to Netflix or Amazon Prime. Maybe you nee to be over 40 to appreciate some of the "elder" humor ... it looks like it's young folks who aren't thrilled with it and there are some older folks who will may be offended by language, behavior, or conversations ... to them I would say "lighten up and have a little fun". The theater was FULL the day I went (lots of retired folks) ... everyone appeared to enjoy themselves. There was a lot of laughter and no one left during the movie.
