Forget this Horrible Remake and Find the Original
8 January 2017 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

This show makes a great case for never re-making classic shows or movies. It is absolutely terrible in its style and delivery. As for the original, since most TVs were owned only by upper middle class who generally had a higher level of education, programs, particularly game shows, were best described as interesting and intellectual. One might also notice the high level of manners, demeanor and protocol - more commonplace in the late-50s and early-60s.

But this broadcast brings to light everything unappealing in today's society. Uninteresting (and unintelligent) panelists nobody has ever heard of and contestants that have to stand in front of them for the entire segment - unlike the original which tried to take on an aura of that combined the confessional with a witness stand. The result this time - an uninteresting, "dumbed-down" time filler that seems to be developed for maximum appearance of diversity instead of intellectual content.

Do yourself a favor. Cancel this program and turn to one of the Oldies network and watch the classic. It still holds up even 60-some years from the original broadcast dates.
